Isaac didn't look right last night. He wasn't aggressive on defense.

Almost like he injured his leg the last time he played and was being a bit cautious :D

Weird matchups too for him.

Bucks started to look like contender right on schedule, with playoffs around a corner.

Didn't see it but you know these teams are just going to flip the switch when it comes to the postseason. Nobody is talking about the Nugs, it's all the Wolves and their D, the Clips finally putting it together, the Sun's hovering bla bla bla. But come the playoffs, Murray, Jokic and Gordon will just shift up two or three gears and you'll very quickly be reminded who the class teams in the NBA are. Bucks the same.

That's the reality for the Magic too. It might look like we're close, based on our record, but we've a way to go yet. I think the construction of the Magic and the ways in which we're winning is playoffs-friendly, so in that sense we're in ok shape.

But the playoffs are a playground for vets, in the main. No minors allowed.

Agreed. Our RS record might have improved a lot, but come PO time and the up and coming teams like CLE IND and us face MIL or BOS, they will take us to the woodshed and beat us like an unwanted ginger stepchild ( or something like that )

I have Boston winning it all since early November.
I think Nuggets won it and they aren't as hungry (and not as deep as last year) .

Best offensive team and top-5 defensive team. And this is before the team "gets serious". Come playoff time, the Celts is going to resemble the dominance the 90s Bulls had in the playoffs.

And I really like how they play. So it will be entertaining watching Boston trample its way to the Finals.

I dunno. You look at who has beaten Boston (and its not many teams to be fair) and - other than us it's practically all the top teams. DEN, LAL, LAC, PHI, GSW, IND, MIL, OKC, NYK, MIN...

All the good teams have taken a scalp off Boston this year and I think that's indicative of who they are. I don't think it's coincidental that all of them managed to get a win. Porzingis' addition helps take an offensive load off Tatum and Brown, but in a lot of those defeats they were held to pretty low scores by their lofty standards. Conclusion, good teams can successfully defend Boston.

PS is a different animal, but if anything, defence tightens up further.

Minessota -OT
Warriors - OT - no Porzingis
OKC- road game 4 points L
Bucks- got trashed
Nuggets -lost by 2, missed 3 shots in last min to win a game ( + turned the ball over).
Lakers game- pretty bad L given Davis & Lebron didn't play
Clippers- no Porzingis

I mean they stand at 48-12 record, it's 82 games season, bad games do happen.
But look at this games from different perspective:
Minessota- OT win in rematch
Historic beatdown against Warriors yesterday (up by 50 at half)
won first game against Bucks
+11 win against Lakers on a road
+38 win against Clippers on a road

so it's not like those teams have habbit of beating them, hell Clippers, Mavs and especially Warriors got crushed by Celtics this year.
Esencially, they won 19 out of last 22 games and only have 1 back to back L whole season long.

They have 29-3 record at home and 19-9 on a road. How many teams will be comfortable playing in Boston and be able to win at least 1, but probably 2 games to knock them down?

I mean sure, Nuggets can beat them, but there is no guarantee that Nuggets will survive on West neither. They have 1-3 record against OKC for example. Or they got crushed in both games vs Mavs.

I don't know. We don't know who will be healthy when playoffs arive.
But by just looking at potential brackets , path toward finals for Boston is so much easier than it will be from any team on a West.
If you are Denver, you really want to move to 1# seed , or at least avoid being 3rd.
Today, current path to finals from 3# spot would lead you through Suns, OKC & Clippers. Good luck.

It's not too late to get Poole

How about Simons 34pts, 14 assists, highlight cram on Gobert :o

Coby White too...that's a guy they might've given away a couple summers ago.

I wanted to trade for Coby two years ago when the whole Chicago fan base hated him. Fans are unrealistic. They expect a 19 - or 20 year old to be good when they draft them. It takes a while to play winning ball. They turned on Markannen, too.

I'm sure one could find a trade idea from me too...I remember hearing that "he's just Cole Anthony"

(I'll beat you to it..."I could find a trade idea for every player in the league from you if I look"

The 76ers, Heat, Knicks, and Cavs play each other a lot coming up in addition to having West Coast trips. If they play each other, one team is guaranteed to lose.

Philadelphia has 7 games left against the top 8 teams in the east.

Miami 6.

The Cavs 6.

The Magic 5.

The Knicks 6.

The Bucks 6.

The Pacers 4.

Important day for standings tonight.

Here's hoping:
- Mavs beat the Pacers
- Pistons beat the Heat (lol)
- Celtics beat the Cavs (yuck, hate rooting for the celtics)
- Hawks beat the Knicks
- We beat the Hornets (we better!)

I know a lot of fans around here starve for national market NBA attention for the magic. I am saying right now we don’t want it.

This is just straight absurd that Wemby hasn’t even completed his first full year and their machine has already started. They don’t know how to talk about small market teams without it trying to push star player to big market.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Europien players are still driven by sucess and hate losing. Money doesn't buy you happiness in life, most of them made nice money before even going to NBA.
Jokic, Luka, Giannis and now Victor, you will make them happy by buidling actual team around them, not bull*** them around with "draft strategy".

From his POV it's simple , "you really want me to risk my health for 4-5 years until you draft some unknown teenager and i need to wait until he learns how to shoot & pass because college hoops don't teach him that? LOL. How about them Lakers"?

Main reason why superstars go to Lakers isn't just brightness of LA spotlight but fact that Lakers always give their best to build best team possible. Where whole bunch of other teams are just bull***ing around even when they do have star player.
Look at Pelicans teams with Davis. It's almost like they were testing how bad it can get before Davis gets upset.
