It's not the loss. It's only our 13th after all. Some fans are reacting this way because of how we lost and how it can project in postseason scenarios. This loss was 98% avoidable. In a playoff series, you win the avoidable losses. To give yourself some leeway when you do lose the unavoidable ones.

Flame me if you want, but the amount of times Joe has mentioned trying things and wanting adversity says to me he is managing these games very differently to how he would in the playoffs. Clutch reps is important and we came up short. Very valuable to happen here and not in the playoffs with time to still learn.

Joe is not managing these to lose, but he is not doing everything to win games in isolation and wants close game practice.

Don't get me wrong, the lack of defensive effort and ball movement in the last is not staged, but how Joe reacted (or didn't) when that was happening compared with many times this season suggests to me he was prepared to let it ride and see how the players reacted to adversity.

Just my thoughts, couldn't care less who wants to hate on Joe if they want.

Mad that Joe stuck with Luke and Al for too long. Not that mad he didn’t call a TO in the final possession because they’d have subbed out Garland

And c'mon, are we really that afraid of who they'd sub in for Garland. Not a good enough reason. How about call the right offensive play that matters not whose on the floor for them on D. We have better offensive players. Utilize them correctly and win the game.

Nothing about being afraid or not, you take a Tatum/Garland matchup any day. Tatum should know to get that shot off quicker. Joe should have taken the TO when he realized it was going to be the last possession

Sad, but true. Superstars don't even need to look at the bench, they just play and know what they need to do. Tatum looked apprehensive every step of that final play.
