Taj Gibson?
Signed to a 10-day contract.
No clue. Unless they just want a vet in the clubhouse.

I like the move. He can't provide much playing-wise, but the team needs older guys who are respected. Even 10-days of advice could help these young guys.

Yep. But I'd rather utilize 10-day contracts trying to find guys to upgrade the worst roster in the nba after the worst season in the nba.

Re: Taj Gibson?
Sure. He’s probably better than Wiseman.
Only issue is that our best option at backup center is currently starting at the 4 and our organization refuses to acknowledge it.

He's probably here to try and help Stewart be better at basketball. Gibson has played throughout his career the way this administration would like Stewart to play.

Stew is a proud guy that has put a lot of work into his 3 point shot to play passable time at the 4.
Even if backup 5 is the best option for him long term, I don’t have a problem letting him play out the rest of the season as a starter.
Once there’s an infusion of talent with all of our cap space, it will be easier to shuffle the deck with him coming off the bench.

Uhh... I do. Because if I am Cade and this happens then I say F-this and get the heck out of Detroit.
We already have the talent necessary. We are already a better team in our starting 5 with him not on it.
Who the hell cares whether or not Stew is "a proud guy that has put a lot of work in". I bet Cade and others have put a lot of work in too. It's about results. And the mix with Stew in with our other guys we want to develop isn't getting any.
It's time for us to stop coddling egos and put a team on the floor that performs the best. If people on the team have a problem with that then they can GTFO.

Re: Taj Gibson?
We liked having Muscala here, I don’t see an issue adding Taj on a ten day or whatever it winds up as.
I think we still have an open spot, so make that the project

Re: Taj Gibson?
Thibs loves him, NYK been dealing with injuries in the front court and he couldn't stay there.
He is cooked. He is a good vet tho.
We need an actual veteran center, if we're going to continue to be dumb and play Stewart at PF.
Wiseman is unplayable. He doesn't deserve a spot even in a GLeague roster, that's how bad he is.

Taj Gibson hasn't made a single field goal in his last 68 minutes of playing time.

Totally disagree. He's all of 22 years old. Getting rid of Bagley is giving him more minutes which he needs. It's not about getting another win or two this year - it's about teaching the young guys how to play better.

You teach young players play better putting a worse team around them?
Did you watch Cade's interview after the game? He is completely broken.

They keep making moves and are making the team better. Wiseman is definitely improving.
Regardless, as I’ve mentioned before, Wiseman and end of bench guys are more long shots and people shouldn’t get their panties in a bunch about them. The starters and high minute guys are what’s important. Nothing else is going to happen now but big changes are certainly happening this summer to deal w the starters.

I don’t get it.
In: Fontecchio & Grimes
Out: BB, Burks, Morris, Hayes
That doesn’t seem like getting fleeced to me.
