Totally reasonable to be concerned. This isn't KD or Bryant, who came back from this injury and succeeded because they can shoot in addition to all the other things they do. I can't imagine another player in the league who would lose more from his game if they were to tear their Achilles.

This couldn't be any more wrong imo. He's an outlier athlete while playing one position lower than his best spot because he wants to. If he loses a heap of athleticism, like a heap, he can just move to C and still be one of the best physical packages there. A guy like Amare fell off because he was PF sized and when he lost bounce and had to play C he wasn't long, wasn't strong, and had no defensive IQ. Giannis has none of the same issues. He'd drive less from the top and have less fast break points, sure but he's still All NBA when he returns to earth athletically.
