That being said, I'm still greatly concerned over our lack of frontcourt size and not having a quality backup center option for possible Nurkic insurance for the postseason in the random event of him fouling out/foul trouble/ or possible time missed due to injury. I do believe that Eubanks can still be functional in a limited capacity if utilized in a fastbreak style of play. But without a bigger, more physical backup center option, I think we're absolutely going to have our lack of size exploited by the bigger, more athletic and more physical postseason frontcourts we'll inevitably face. :-?

This is totally a JJ move and yes does nothing to address our need for more size or add a ball handler.

I would have taken a flyer on a totally new player but JJ being who he is is unimaginative and is lazy when it comes to picking up talent.

It's because you are not being creative enough to see the artistry that JJ has envisioned. Picture this... Bol Bol gets the ball and puts it directly over his head at arms length. Ish Wainright grabs Bol Bol by the side titanic style and lifts him high into the air and carries him to the basket for an easy two. Who's going to stop this? Maybe Wembanyana, but we won't be facing him in the playoffs, so we should be good.

Pic for reference...
(but imagine the ball above Bol's head)

Minor no cost move given Maledon would be ineligible to play soon.

The 15th spot is still open for needs.

I have an instant fix for us.

Just run plays for Eubanks to shoot 3 pointers. He is the league leader while shooting 100.00 % from 3.

Twitter losing their mind over us signing a familiar face to our final 2way spot. Dude will not be part of the post season roster.
Did they expect us to find a diamond PG with 20 games left who would save the season? Just sign him and give him heavy minutes?
I mean, some of these people are losing their s*** over this. Unreal.

Hate to say it but John Wall IS a ball handler, IS available and HAS publicly said he would love to play for us and With Beal again. If Saban Lee looked even half way decent on defense, I would say no need cause Wall is not a defender BUT Lee has been absolute trash on defense and he even at this stage ISNT a better handler or scorer than old ass John Wall, just sayin.

There's probably good reason why none of the 30 teams sign him.

Also a good reason Saben Lee is STILL a 2 way contract at this stage in his career. If we are down 2 with 10 seconds left and you have the option to have the ball in the hands of Saben Lee or a 33 y/o John Wall.... ( would really signal a franchise in tatters), I would chose Wall 12 times out of 10. He has been a scorer at some point in his life.

The point is neither guys are getting it done but at least you don't need to integrate a vet who's probably expecting some burn over the last 20 games as opposed to a guy who's happy with the opportunity to be on the roster at all, has been around the team for the last couple of years and knows the system.

I'm not opposed to giving Wall a run but realistically, it may just be more headache than its worth quite frankly.

Saben and Ish are here so Jones doesn’t have to sift through the league’s minimum wage trash pile next yr….he has one started in his back yard.

Off season is going to be interesting. Have to think we will try to move Little may be for a future second. Would like to see us keep the drafted rook. It’s clearly up Wishbea and Zeke as Junkyard’s draft disdain/ineptitude is on record.

Magic are 4th in the east. What a season they're having. I know it's only 36 wins but did anyone see this coming? Happy for their development. I wonder how they'll be able to acquire stars in the future. Maybe the 2nd apron will be what helps them like it did Indy

Does anyone know what this MAJOR announcement is going to be about?

A couple guesses if it's a major announcement.

1. Vogel is fired and Kevin Young is taking over as HC.
2. JJ fired and the other guy Ishbia brought over from the Pistons is taking over as GM.
3. KD decided he no longer loves the game of basketball and is retiring effective immediately.

In all seriousness I doubt it's nothing super major and maybe some stupid team promo or something.

well no, it's not "only 36 wins". this is a big deal for them because this is potentially only the second time since Dwight Howard was still on the team that they can have a winning record, and they are well ahead of the pace compared to the other time in 2018-2019 when they were 42-40. they have been really solid.
