Same injury Embiid had. I guess we will have our pick of CAA torn meniscus centers this summer as the 76ers and Timberwolves seasons end badly

All these injuries to players playing different roles and amount of minutes proves Bluntson and the others who blame everything on the amount of minutes played for injuries were wrong as always. Injuries are random and can happen to ANY player. The number of minutes have little to no impact. These are professional athletes who are monitored on a daily basis and if any activity increased a risk of injury, they simply wouldn't play. UNLESS it was worth the risk in a playoff game and even then it would need to be approved by doctors, the HC, the GM, the agent and the player himself.

Fun fact: The Nets waived the right to conduct a physical before agreeing to trade him for James Harden.

Then we should be playing Brunson 48 mpg, no?

It is all about risk management. Of course there is no guarantee of not having injury if you are not playing high amount of minutes. You could have an injury first game of the season in the first quarter and end up being out for the whole season. Remember McDyess?
And the problem with Thibs is not only about total minutes. It is also about how he manages minutes. Players playing whole quarters and sometimes even whole halves can not be good. Nor keeping your starters in when the other team already accept the defeat and put the benchwarmers in (those bench players are more motivated to show themselves and get more physical against starters).

Cannot argue with that. It is annoying but Thibs isn't the only HC who does it.
As far as playing entire quarters and halves, I don't think it increases the risk. Fatigue doesn't equal injury. I just don't think Thibs would do something to increase a player getting hurt.

Don't bother bro. People use zero context or facts when discussing this. Thibs law firm just talks sideways and keeps ignoring simple facts. The list is long enough and the examples are more than enough to prove Thibs is a maniac.

I’m probably wrong, but I’ve always felt that if a guys is gunna get hurt it’s gunna happen. There’s no predicting or preventing it unless you just don’t play him.

Agreed. Compared to the league average and top 20 players before everyone started getting hurt, the Knicks are not amongst the leaders in MPG. People will always question when you should pull the starters, but that's a fluid and different conversation.

Weird couple weeks in the NBA of who beat who...wow.
The Wolves have Reid off the bench so they will probably be able to overcome losing KAT, although I'm not sure how much this will hurt their bench production.
Dallas would have to lose 7 games in the standings to avoid giving up their pick and that would be a more obvious tank job than last year, not sure if they could even pull it off with 20something games left.

If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

There are more injuries in the nba than ever before. The pace of the game might be pushing the limits of the human body.

In 17-18 Knicks were 5th in NBA in FGA per game. That number would be good for 25th place this season. Even if you look at fast break PPG that year the 9th placed team would be good for 23rd this season. The 9th best team in terms of possessions per game would be ranked 22nd this year. In 2014 the average team covered 16.8 miles per game and this year it’s up to 18.1 miles per game.
To your point Sham, the pace of play is up, there are extra possessions, guys are getting on the break more than ever with teams sprinting back thus covering more ground. Feels like players are falling more awkwardly then ever before.
