I haven’t seen anything from actual NBA media since Shams tweeted about him being waived 3 days ago.

We most likely won't hear anything more on Morris until at least the end of TJ Warren's 10-day contract, which hasn't even started yet.

I doubt the one affects the other. TJ is not likely to be on this team come playoff time. If he is, he is the 11th guy.

Versus Morris being the 10th guy?

It absolutely affects it financially. That's a big reason why we're stretching this out. Maximizing dollars doesn't happen by signing someone to a ROS contract while another is in the middle of a 10-day deal.

ROS? JJ is off the team as of today. We have a roster spot, we need Marcus Morris. He wants to be here, it is a good fit. It is true that every day we wait/negotiate lowers his cost on a pro rata basis.

Do we know he wants to be here?

Are we talking PatBev’s comment as gospel?

Limited options, good fit, and makes sense for both sides. Beyond that the rumor has stood without any contradiction or counter rumors for 3 weeks plus.

The more I read about Marcus, the less I want him on our squad.

Lue took him totally out of the rotation to end last season (he only got in a few Playoff games because of how many injuries the Clippers had) and he was inactive for them this year until he was traded to Philly.

He skipped workouts and team dinners in LA, had a bad attitude on the bench and ripped Clippers fans. Not a guy I want in our locker room and I'm not sure another non-defending iso-scorer is what we need on the floor.

The Morris twins just aren't good dudes. I'd steer clear.

Taj Gibson just signed a ten day in DET. Any interest here when he finishes that? I haven’t watched him this year.

Other Free Agents Bigs: JaMychel Green, Rudy Gay, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Nerlens Noel, Blake Griffin?

I have been wondering if the lack of Marcus Morris news was due in part to there being no real role for him with the Wolves. With Towns injury opening up a bunch of minutes, I'll be curious to see if there's movement in the near future. With a pro-rated veteran minimum deal currently costing $500K for the rest of the season, there is even the possibility of signing both Warren and Morris while staying under the luxury tax line.

Yes all this and he sucks on the court too. So I'm glad we passed on Morris.
Let's see what TJ Warren can do on this road trip.

Maybe later in the season we can afford a 2nd 10 day to fill that 15th spot with an emergency big or PG if Morris misses more time.

I don’t think we did pass on Marcus Morris. I think Morris has foot issues and is not gonna be signed until he is healthy. Every day we wait is money we save. I still expect us to sign him, and maybe TJ as well. Especially if Monte has lingering hamstring issues.

Humor me in assuming that Marcus Morris has a foot injury and is trying to rehab it. Assume we are contact with Morris and plan to sign him before the end of the regular season. Also assume that he won’t be ready in the next 10-15 days. Lastly assume we plan to sign TJ Warren to a second 10 day, then as roster player 14. Who should we oook at for another 10 day to act as extra bench depth in case of further injury? Any PGs or SFs of note still out there?
