Suns get: 27, 31, 2029 second round pick
Jazz get: 19
Jazz consolidate their picks. Suns trade back to be accumulate more assets (probably trading these picks for more future second round picks to trade)

If Utah loves the guy at #19, sure.
If Phoenix doesn't love the guy at #19, sure.
Seems likely that Phoenix simply selects a player Top 15 on their board at #19.

The late picks are cheaper which is what would appeal to the Suns I believe. The Suns also need bench depth so I feel this is a very realistic trade for both sides.

Sure, but if Phoenix simply wants the much higher rates prospect who could come in and potentially play right away then they take that guy at #15.

Re: Hypothetical NBA Draft trade (UTA-PHX)
I don’t think phx will have roster spots for this.
But I do see phx trading their first. I think an ideal trade for phx would be moving 2024 1st and little for a future 1st or a ton of future 2nds.
If suns plan to resign Allen/Royce they will need to dump littles salary.. and picking up future tradeable pieces even if it’s 4-5 2nds feels like something they would do.

Think that Utah would need to throw in one of their lower values FFRPs or a couple more seconds.

Re: Hypothetical NBA Draft trade (UTA-PHX)
Due to the second apron penalties, Phoenix should be keeping as many of their guys as possible (Josh, Allen, Royce, and Gordon seem to be easy keepers)
I don’t know if they want to turn 1 slightly larger contract / probably better young player into 2 lesser guys.
Not really speaking on value, just we are talking about a team that really need to upgrade their top 8. Pick 15-19 has a much better chance of doing that (or being used in a trade to do that) than two lesser picks.
Value feels to favor Utah as well.

Re: Hypothetical NBA Draft trade (UTA-PHX)
value definitely favors Utah a good bit. And a team like Phoenix desperate for cheap contributors is likely better off taking the BPA rather than trading back for multiple shots at players they like less. Now if there is a guy on the clock Utah absolutely loves, they can simply keep adding picks until Phoenix feels like they can't pass on the value(Assuming they aren't absolutely in love with a player in which case its all moot anyway).
But without knowing who is on the board and who each team likes, I'd have this deal favoring Utah and something Phoenix should pass on.

What pick# would you say is even value for Utahs package?
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

23/24 but its impossible in a vacuum. It's all about players at that point. Utah has to like a specific guy still available and Phoenix has to be disappointed with who is left(or think they alone know about a sleeper and trying to scoop up extra value while getting their guy).
