Life is hard for lonely multi-millionaires.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dame ends up getting moved this summer.

Nice to be one of the few losses the Warriors have experienced this calendar year...even it was mostly a schedule loss.

I'd trade a 2nd round pick for this guy and try to rehab his value in Quin's system.

Who knows what the team is doing anymore.
It is probably Dyson and Murphy for those two. Doubt the Pelican trade Jones.
This is the player many believed Hawks would have received in a DeJounte/Okongwu trade to New Orleans.
He would be a perfect complement at SG to Trae. (Ten 3-pointers in <30 minutes?!?!?)

I think you may have judged him too harshly...

26 games a piece - a completely different player.
As a Knick:
18.2ppg
4.3rpg
2.4apg
42 FG%
33 3P%
As a Raptor:
20.6ppg
6.2rpg
3.6apg
56 FG%
42 3P%
A lot of folks counted him out, but RJ is making them eat crow right about now.

The culture they've managed to build in OKC is so healthy and supportive.
That's really the difference in what Hawks built and what Thunder built...them dudes actually like each other.

Scoring is down?

This after Joe Dumars says this;
There’s a sense among some NBA observers the pendulum has swung too far and that defenses need some help now, too. NBA VP and head of basketball operations Joe Dumas said this to Tim Bontemps and Kevin Pelton at ESPN:
The Competition Committee is made up primarily of coaches, players and general managers.

Making changes mid-season is disastrous, especially where there is mistrust already with the refs.

A rolling five-game average of points per 48 minutes peaked at 117.3 on Jan. 26, the night Doncic dropped 73. Then scoring across the league plummeted by the end of February to a rolling five-game average of 109 points per 48. The trend coincided with a 10% drop in trips to the free-throw line between January and February. According to Haberstroh, foul calls per 100 possessions were 20% lower in February than they had been in November 2023.
This after Joe Dumars says this;
All this echoes what Dumars recently told Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.
“The question is posed to each one of those groups: Is the balance out of whack? Do we need to balance this more to allow defenses to defend more, to do more on the defensive end of the court? And by and large, people are saying it wouldn’t be bad to have a little bit more defense... You don’t want it where the defense can just, you know, grab and hold, and you don’t want it when the offense has just this huge advantage, either.”

”...the league’s competition committee has officially begun reviewing whether the game has tilted too far toward offense and whether changes need to be implemented to achieve better balance.”

Re: Around the League News and Rumors (Non-Hawks) Part 2
League sources tell me that the NBA Competition Committee met Tuesday to discuss ways to incorporate more defensive freedom for players when it comes to physicality, evaluating how to potentially allow more of it, its merits and more. I’m told the committee, which comprises league and union officials, owners, players and executives, will use the next few months and offseason to strategize ahead of next season. So far this year, the NBA’s 114.9 points per game is the highest average since the 1960s. The league’s average offensive rating (115.6) and team 3-pointers made per game (12.8) also are the highest marks ever.

Glad to hear IT making more of that NBA money, if only for a brief while.
But, man...could Shams sounds more like a publicist than a journalist with this.
