Seen some Lakers say they aren't bothered by seeding because of last year but seeding luck was part why their road was a bloodbath. Grizz, Warriors and the eventual champs. That's 3 straight conference finals they had to beat. They need to can Ham because he's not beating any good coach without matchup advantage. He sucks at containing bleedings especially when there's finer margins to overcome.

Not caring about seeding is fine
Caring about having 2 lives in the play in game is what matters

Seeding is very important because your most important player is literally 39 and if he needs to play extra games you have a problem.
Already seeing what multiple games in a row is potentially doing to Lebrons ankle. Now go tell him to play potentially 20+ without missing a game.

If they cant get 1 of Mitchell, Young, or Kyrie it will be tough. Will then need at least 2 really nice players (on level of DJM at least) and hopefully a better coach
I don't consider Mitchell as a realistic option. So you have Young/Kyrie + Lebron and AD with minimal depth or Murray + a better starting wing with Reaves, Lebron, AD. I don't think either scenario puts them ahead of Denver and OKC
I think Mitchell is more realistic than Trae
Trae has multiple years left
Mitchell has 1. What if the Cavs get bounced in rd 1 or swept in rd 2 and then he demands out to a big city that can contend?
I think Kyrie can be had for something like Dlo, Rui, JHS, a 1st and a swap basically. Lavine and Carso to Dallas and Kyrie to LA?
I woldnt want Lavine unless he comes with Caruso and can be had for cheap. Dlo, Rui, Vincent, JHS, and maybe our rookie
And why would it be the Lakers and not NY, Philly or Miami? Late lotto pick in the weak draft + two picks 5 and 7 years from now isn't good enough package.
Regarding Kyrie, I don't see why Dallas would trade him for less than 2 picks + don't think Russell will pick up his option

It could be those other teams, but idk if Mitchell is a good fit on Phi or NY. 2 small guards isn't ideal.
Seems like you excluded a lot in the package. Its not a late lotto 1st and 2 picks
Its a 1st, 2 more picks that may be great picks, 2-3 swaps, JHS, Reaves, and Rui or a package of Vincent and filler
We could pay up more for Kyrie if needed. I think Dlo picks up the option or extends for a similar price but longer
Could also swing for Lavine and Caruso.
Dlo, Vando, Vincent, JHS, rookie, 29 1st with limited protections and or a swap?
Caruso, Lavine, Rui, Lebron, AD
Reaves, Christie, Prince??, Wood?
Still have an mle and some assets left to upgrade
I think an offensive trio of AD, Bron, and Lavine is good enough. Reaves and Rui can add more there as well ofc.

Will bronny James even make the chinese league? He is awful. At least lebron won’t go to a bad team if they draft bronny now that bron knows he sucks.
Just goes to show you.. that natural talent you can’t buy it. Lebron put every ounce into this kid

Great point about Bronny. Yeah, doesn't look like he's going to be a good prospect, so maybe a flyer by a team that is already good just needs a little push over the hump to pick in the hopes of Dad coming along

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me that the Lakers reach out to Brooklyn to try and acquire Bridges and Schroeder. With this year being DLo’s best and with his history in Brooklyn, plus all the assets the Lakers can send them, it may prove beneficial.
I also wonder if Houston would get in on it as a three-way trade in order for Brooklyn to get some of their picks back if it means Houston gets DLo to play SG and get to get rid of Jalen Green.

Lebron should take a paycut tbh. What if he does under the circumstance they use the assets? (or first they make the move to assure him)

I would also like Bridges
But why would BKN move him?

If they’re able to get their 2025 1st back in the deal in order to gain other assets and tank, especially with Bridges’ disappointing season. Worth exploring at least.

I would like to apologize to DLo for a lot of the bad things I've said about him.
He's been unreal for the 25 games. The decision making and chemistry between his teammates is just night and day.

Hell of a game by Dlo
Great block by Dinwiddie
Hope AD is good and wont miss time
Man I hate how we didnt push in some small chips
Man blowing that Kings game and the Kings stealing one from the Spurs last night hurt us bad
We would be the 8th seed and very close to the 7th

That half a second release after he catches the ball eye height is pretty crazy. It was a good win, but it took DLo hitting AT LEAST 5 heavily contested stepbacks.

But he wouldn't. Most likely they're gonna run it back with Dlo around 3/75M + trade 24' for an upgrade on the wing

Idk if I see us paying Dlo 25m a yr for 3 years tbh
He is a good to very good shooter, but not elite and he is a meh to poor finisher for a guard
Solid passer, but not elite
Not great in transition, unathletic for a guard, and not a great defender
He and Reaves need to be paired with a more athletic 1/2 next to them who is a better defender
What wings are available or upgrades even? Feels like not a lot of great wings out there. If we aren't making a big guard splash, then it has to be for a wing. Cam Johnson from BKN would be great
Not drafting Cam Whitmore (let alone Jaquez) was a big mistake. Cam was right there for the taking and falling hard
I would really like us to play more Christie to see what we have in him
