Wagner will be fine. His release is still too slow.. the mechanics of his shot just aren't very good. He's all arm when he shoots it. I would like to see some snap to his J also.
Catch pass, ball immediately to the right corner of his head above his eye.. immediately.. legs... snap. 500 repetitions a day. He can't do that during the season.. didn't do it during last off season. Next season he needs to dedicate himself to becoming a better shooter.
Team needs Suggs though. If they had him these past 2 games they're very different.

That is if we make the playoffs, if we are the play-in, we'd probably lose.
This team lost every must win game this year and the effort has been just plain bad. I can imagine it being much worse in playoffs.

Honestly i just wanted to make the actual playoffs, i never expected us to win a series. Especially after no trades at deadline like you said. But as we kept creeping up the standings, i thought maybe we could at least make noise or make it interesting.
Stupid but i was hoping we would win at least 2 games since the vuc led teams never did, but now i doubt we even win 1 game. A sweep would be pretty devastating.
Extend Suggs ASAP!!

I feel like people go into seasons with low expectations and end them with high expectations lol.
We need Suggs back and just average guard play but we can easily still get in via playoffs. Everybody just needs to step it up.

Was there ever a game to rejuvenate the dunce cap poll???
Cole "Mr. Chucky McChuckerson" Anthony.
Caleb "Casper Invisibility" Houtsan
Anthony "I'm in the NBA?" Black
and
Gary "You want ME to start?!?!?!?" Harris
It is a joke. Orlando needs to revamp its guard rotation. G-Harris is not a starter quality and should be a rotational bench player. Black and Houstan are not rotational quality players. (Please stop with the "Black is the future" crap; PGs need to be able to dribble the ball. Kind of a key skill). Houstan is a deep rotational player, at best. And no team would aspire to have a player such as him; yeh he fills out a roster and is a good team-guy. But: so what. An G-Harris continues his "shoot only if I am 10-feet open" mindset to NBA ball.
None of this is OK.
I could write a paragraph on, If only the Magic had Fultz available, but I won't trigger pepe.

Replace Fultz with Suggs and this rant is great!
Also Paolo and Franz really set the tone for horrid play this game too. It has to start with them.

People just have unrealistic expetations from Franz ESPECIALLY about 3 point shooting. He was never projected to be some sniper 3 point shooter, he just had two very good ( league's average) seasons in terms of shooting.
His shooting motion is bit strange, he needs lot of time to load a shot and his arch is flat. He will probably rework some of mechanics over time but guy is 22-23 years old 20+ ppg player who has nice all around game.
Last month he averaged 21,5 ppg on 15 shots. That's efficient, even with bricks from 3.

Amen brother.
Look this loss is on management for not having a meaningful guard rotation. With Mathurin out, the Magic should have had the better SG. But nope: G-Harris has another one of his "let's play 4 on 5" games. Yuck!

Halftime up by 3, while Pacers shoot 1-11 for 3. I knew it will be hard to win. With 4 min to play in 3rd i figured game is over. Watched until the end but we were never really all that close.
T. J. McConnell outclassed all our guards.

Here's my box-score thought of the game:
It is not ok that Orlando's starting guards combined for only 5 FG attempts in a combined 50 minutes played. That is just wrong.

We were expecting Franz average 3 point shooting that he’s had the last 2 years. We were not expecting a sniper. We just want Franz to be average by his standards.

Players in year 3 sometimes do have dramatic dips or upticks , it's not that uncommon, it's just feels better when player in year 3 shoots much better than in past, but there is no reason to overreact.
Kuminga year 1 : 33,6% for 3, year 2- 37%, year 3 -30%.
Moody year 1: 36,4%, year 2 - 36%- year 3- 32,7%
Those are all still young players and lack consistancy, and shooting for vast majority of nba players, aside from ultra elite ones, is streaky.
For example Trey Murphey (again, 3rd year player) one month shot 29% for 3, one month 34% and guy literally just made feraking 32 -threee point shots in past 6 games on 49%
That crazy performances skyrocketed his percentage from 34% for a season to 38%.
Franz will be fine. Our offense sucks mostly because our guards are dreadful at most basic things.

He's basically like his brother. Moe shoots 82% from the line and 32% from 3 for his career. Moe and Franz are currently the worst 3-pt shooters on the team.ORLMagicGirl15 wrote:pepe1991 wrote:People just have unrealistic expetations from Franz ESPECIALLY about 3 point shooting. All our guys are either low volume or cant shoot. Suggs is the only one I trust that it goes in semi-regularly which is crazy to say from 2 years ago
