It's not likely to happen but we could in theory have a draft where we don't take a single offensive skill position player and it's not crazy.

We're soo deep with weapons that we can grab a few OL and absolutely stock up on defense. I love it

That's a lot for a RG that was rotated.

Got PAID.

Yeah we're definitely going O-line early in the draft. Good for JRJ. Hope Sean Rhyan is working hard this offseason.

Jones missing a bunch of time last year worked out well, he was fresh and had a great run at the end. Even if he somehow remains healthy all season you don't want to push it with too many snaps. Jacobs will be a good 1B.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm sad now. I guess give me McKinney in free agency and Jonathan Brooks in the draft to make up for it, Gute.

Edit: He's gonna end up on the Vikings, isn't he?

A pretty big slap in the face to the fanbase to not figure out a compromise after how he finished the season when he got healthy and how important he's been to the culture. I never thought in a million years he wouldn't be back.

Well that's disappointing. Was running around with excitement over the 1-2 punch of Jones/Jacobs. And that Dillon was probably gone.

Now, I'm just sad.

Only 26 years old and a year removed from that monster season. Curious what the price tag was after his down year, and does this mean Jones is getting cut?

Put me down firmly in the "what's the point of this?" camp. I guess it worked out for Detroit last offseason when they inexplicably let Jamal Williams/Swift walk and gave Montgomery all that money, but they also followed it up by taking Gibbs in the 1st round. Guessing this means we're still in the market for a RB via the draft?

The reality is Jones is a 30 year old RB who just missed over half a season with injuries and could fall off at any moment. I get the emotional side of things but from a logical side I absolutely understand it

Tbh this makes me feel better about signing Jacobs too
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

yeah this is a dumb move. jacobs isn't better than jones at all. jones is far more valuable to the packers than any other team. would have rather kept jones. a post june 1st cut saves packers about 12 mil on the cap so its worth it from a cap perspective, but jacobs better not be getting a big deal. if thats the case, should have just splurged and gotten saquan barkley.

New plan: Jacobs number one and fast RB drafted as the change of pace.

I think Jacobs is better than Jones but I am disappointed to not see them as a duo.

Spend that cash on a safety or two, please

Sure feels like a GB move. Beloved by the fan base, released a year before production drops. Really liked Jones, hopefully this is a GB move that proves to be right, just stings in the moment.

About $6 million in cap space.
