The offense looked so **** good when Jones was healthy. He still has something left in the tank. I **** hate this

(ducks)

I feel like Jones has had a major mental fart/fumble/etc like four post-seasons in a row. Wish we could've seen him and Jacobs together, but, he's always nursing an injury and I strangely have zero confidence in him come the post-season. I have faith, with the offensive system we have, they might pull some magic like they did reworking the WR room now that Dillon is out of the way.
You gotta make it sexy! Hips and nips, otherwise I'm not eating.

Look for Jones in Minny or Dallas.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Dallas instantly came to mind with Pollard gone to TEN. I think Mike would gladly welcome him, and Jones going to play at home in Texas would be an attractive move for him as well.

Bummed. Jones is my favorite current Packer (see avatar), and probably one of my all-time Top 5.

Need to be pragmatic though. He is a 30-year old RB. He's also had some devastating fumbles at the worst times.

I was pretty much down with anything with our FA's/guys on the chopping block to be cut except losing Aaron Jones. This doesn't sit right with me at all.

I don't know about all that, I love me some Aaron Jones and was extremely excited (for about 10 minutes) for them as a duo but I do think 1v1 Jacobs is the better player.

Obviously less of a trade value standpoint, but yeah, they moved on from Davante 1-2 years before his decline. Similar thing here.

I have to believe they have a plan for that $6 million in cap space if they felt they needed it at the expense of Jones.

I am not well. This hurts. Way more than Rodgers, Favre, Woodson, Reggie etc...

Jones was as much of an ambassador as you will ever find. Stand up guy on and off the field and played his ass off.

Only thing I can do now is pray for a soft market and reunion. This feels wrong.

I'm with you but I don't think a return is in the cards at all. His agent was probably was feeling out the market and interest from other teams. The Cowboys, for example, are too perfect of a fit. I just think his impact on the offense was perennially underrated. I know he's getting old and injury prone but we were so **** good down the stretch when he was in there taking on the bulk of the work. How is that guy who was so good on the field and so loved off of it just not on the team anymore?

I would've kept Jones and signed a second or third tier guy as the backup rather than Josh Jacobs and no Aaron Jones.

Ugh, this kind of sucks.

I do quietly agree with Marley2Hendrix with regards to the huge negative plays (I can't get them out of my mind).

He 100% has Dallas Cowboy as his next team written all over him, especially being from texas on top of the rest.

Damn it. Jones was a real one. Loved rooting for that dude.

I don't think Jacobs is an upgrade, either. But hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

About $6 million in cap space.

I get that, but despite the age difference, you just invested that money and then some in a guy who was "playing hurt" most of last year. We'll see what they do the rest of free agency and the draft, but the gut reaction is that this is an uninspiring allocation of resources.

. jones is far more valuable to the packers than any other team. would have rather kept jones. a post june 1st cut saves packers about 12 mil on the cap so its worth it from a cap perspective, but jacobs better not be getting a big deal. if thats the case, should have just splurged and gotten saquan barkley.

Umm...SUURRREEE...

Jones is a really good dude that makes explosive plays, but can't be counted on to stay healthy

Return to Green Bay Packers
