The McKinney signing is Huge! The rare combo of being young, at a position of need, and having nearly every advanced metric love him. He is exactly what this defense needed, landing him is absolutely massive
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Lol, I'm gonna be so confused watching the Packers if they don't have at least one safety out there missing a buttload of tackles.

might've been the best player on the market, and certianly the number one target of the Packers. What a get

Got home from work and logged in just to say that I realized I was probably wrong about them planning to have Jones and Jacobs and was letting what I hoped for cloud my judgment. Alas, I'm too late. Brutal choice, but it's a brutal business. I still think Jones's low workload over the years has to be taken into account when considering what an RB1 his age is worth, and I would bet on him being better than Jacobs next year.

I'm not surprised that Runyan got paid. Everyone who complained about him and Myers has to realize that he was average at worst relative to other starting IOLs. Simple supply and demand. We took him for granted IMO. I don't think he was benched for performance; I think they just wanted to groom Rhyan to take over for him to save money.

Will be interesting to see how aggressive they go after another back in the draft.

The lord giveth, taketh away and giveth right back lol. What a roller coaster 2hrs: Bahk, Jacobs, Jones, McKinney. The back and forth from flaccid to stiff has to be unhealthy.

Didn't expect to give McKinney so much...but I'm glad we got him.

Now I want DeJean even more to pair him with McKinney - That'd be (on paper) a potential nightmare backend of the secondary to throw against.

Probably less than half guaranteed but a bunch of money up front would be my guess. A 2 years and we'll see type of deal.

It is weird to see the Packers being buyers on the first day of FA.

Even weirder that they spent their money on a S and a RB. Glad only 12.5 mil guaranteed to Jacobs because I am not a fan of 4/48 and would have rather just rolled with Jones and a rookie this year.

They gave him the Aaron Jones contract and booted Aaron Jones

They must feel a lot better about signing or drafting a smaller back to replace Jones vs. being able to acquire a really good power back. Still think it's underrating Aaron Jones and what he meant to this team but I understand the theory behind it I suppose. I'm trying hard to rationalize away my disappointment.

The Aaron Jones thing is a gut punch. But it’s classic Ron Wolf, let the guy walk a year early than a year too late.

And then they spent the money on two big FA gets. Now they have flexibility to play around a bit on draft day.

All good in Packerland.

Jacobs is a power back but looking at his highlights he's got a lot more juice than Dillon. He looks really fast for a guy his size. Sa he had a play he hit 20.43mph on a play last year and I believe it. He looks a lot more like Jones than he does Dillon in the highlights.

I’m sad about Aaron Jones but we can’t let how good Josh Jacobs really is get lost in the sauce. He’ll take tons of pressure off Love as an elite chain mover. You can only do so much on a totally dysfunctional team last year like Las Vegas. DA looked pedestrian at times last year and no one is gonna talk about him in a bad way, I think the same should really apply to Jacobs. He’s a monster.
