Has Patty already supplanted Delon Wright in the rotation in Miami? What's going on there.

Daniel Gafford and Lively combined 21 for 22. Gafford hasn't missed a field goal in 4 games (28 attempts). Luka is going to make them a lot of money .

They’ll probably win, but nuggets down 20 to the raps with everyone in?

One might argue Delon Wright isn’t a good nba basketballer.

God, I hate the public perception right now.

Nuggets win after a comeback against a very hurt bottom dweller team, "The Champions find a way to win again, baby!"
the Bucks win a similar game, "Bucks are a really shaky team even though they won, can't trust them".

Can't wait for the playoffs.

Nuggets are not as good as last season. They're a top contender but just frankly look awful far too often to be perceived as above other contenders

On one hand, I don't think Denver is as good as they were last season because they're tried to replace Jeff Green and Bruce Brown largely internally with varying degrees of success. But it also may not matter if they are confident in MPJ at the end of playoff games because Brown was so valuable last year as a safety valve in case they weren't confident in him. On the other hand, the lesson of the last few years with Denver is that they're a title contender with Jamal Murray and a 6 seed without him. And this year they're 36-13 when he plays and 9-7 when he doesn't.

That’s any team that loses a high quality player like Murray though. I don’t think there are too many contenders who could lose their second best player and still be considered having a shot at winning. This happened to us with Midds.

I don't think the drop off is as stark for other teams. Last year the Bucks were 33-16 in games Midds didn't play, this year they're actually a little better in games he doesn't play (27-16 when he plays and 15-7 when he doesn't) goes without saying that I think the record difference has more to do with Doc vs Griff than Midds vs no Midds.

Middleton is such a luxury that we have though. Other teams/fans must look at us and think how lucky we are to still be capable of beating the best teams on any night and still have him to bring back into the fold. Denver is probably the only other team that has the depth to make that work consistently though a season, maybe Boston, as their deeper bench guys have been so effective this year. OKC probably has depth too but they need to get a little more battle-hardened.

Yeah look I wouldn't be worried about the possibility of an injury to such a known highly-durable player.

Such a crazy deep draft class and we haven’t even seen 1/3 of them in the nba yet. Some second rounders that should’ve been in the lottery

The Philadelphia 76ers were initially hopeful that Joel Embiid could return from his meniscus procedure in late March, but it now appears as though the final week of the regular season is a more realistic timeline.

"He's not anywhere close right now to coming back, but he is able to get on the court and do some light work," said Ramona Shelburne. "The hope that they have in Philly is they can stay in the mix for Joel Embiid to come back the last week or so of the season at least where he has a chance to get back to his conditioning before the playoffs."

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/274976/Joel-Embiid-Not-Anywhere-Close-To-Returning-From-Meniscus-Injury

Will be interesting if he does come back. Wouldn't mind them dropping some more games and end up playing Boston in R1. If they lose a couple more, they are pretty much locked into 7/8 without much difference between the two. Could see them giving Embiid very limited minutes even if healthy.

Embiid ain't coming back. It'd be utter madness to drop him back into games 1 week out from the Playoffs and expect him to be able to carry that team to a deep run. They may as well knee-cap him now and save themselves the angst.

Put on the Miami/Denver game over lunch and it sounds like a morgue. Voodoo would not be happy..
