Dick + Barnes is solid. One more special guy along with some slightly older players and we could start talking playoffs again and hope for some potential jumps from these guys.

I'm more impressed with his passing than his recent hot shooting.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

I wouldn't downplay the change in switching out Gary for Gradey in the starting line-up.
Quickley
Dick
Barrett
Barnes
Poeltl

...lots of shooting, ball movement and decision making. 4 of those guys will average 4+ assists per game and can each shoot from 3. Spacing will be much better and as will playmaking.

I really don't want to see Gary back in any way even as a bench player.

More than enough special young players with IQ and RJ

He has an absolutely great feel for the game, and to be able to shoot it this well,at this age, at this level definitely projects him as a top 5 shooter in this league in the not so distant future. Not sure how good he can be by next year, but pretty sure by the time he reaches the age of 24 he is going to be pretty damn good.

I think we’re sleeping on his off the dribble game, because he doesn’t need to blow by guys if he can add some handles, just enough space to pull up from anywhere, and also if he can get it to the point of adding some hesitations he will be absolutely lethal. He has the footwork and body control.

Off-season should be based around strength and conditioning, handles and continuing to be an elite shooter.

We got some players on our team that's for sure. If we keep our pick and grab a stud in this draft we will be golden IMO.

The team desperately needs a wing defender in the OG mold. Someone who can take on the 1-3 as a point of attack defender, allowing Scottie to be a roamer and weak side blocker.

Scottie’s best defense would be if he could play with someone like OG.

Portland is up against the tax. I think they will deal J Grant / Thybulle. If there’s a cheap acquisition to be made, they would be a great combo to add to the team.

Send out Brown + Boucher + IND ‘26 pick.

IQ / (MLE) / #31
RJ / Dick / (Trent?)
Grant / Thybulle
Scottie / #17
Poeltl / Kelly

If our young guys take another step forward, that’s likely a second round team, with room to grow.

That's why I am hoping we keep our pick. You give our FO say, #4 and #15 in this draft, and their track record suggests they will come out with one of the better players, if not 2.

He had one notable play coming off a double staggered screen. He caught the ball off the curl like he was going to rise up and shoot but noticed he had Gordon trailing on his hip ready to contest so he just kind of stopped, gave a subtle shot fake and drove to the rim for a lay up instead. You can just see the game has slowed down for him.

Closest thing to that description is Pat Williams though the Bulls will most likely match all offers. He would really be ideal.

I am not sure we want another 20pt scorer(Grant) in the starting lineup, having already 3 of them (IQ, RJ&Scottie) .

Agreed, would love to snatch Pat Williams but he's one of the only good things the Bulls having going for them

Will he make it to the 2nd or even 1st all-rookie team? I hope so.

If the Raps keep their pick, they could take Dunn with the Pacers pick and hope his shot comes around.

I think you just start Ochai as the point of attack defender. Portland probably looking first round picks and I'm not willing to deal any more of those.

I'd prefer to start Gradey though and have Ochai off the bench.

IQ, Barnes, and Dick should make for some interesting line-ups. Hopefully we can see more of that next season.

If I had to bet, I'd say Barnes/IQ/Dick are the long term keepers and Barrett/Poeltl are eventually traded once the Raps are closer to contention like DD / Val were.
