Packers were in on Jewell. Maybe they pivot to Baker?

Do you mean the those teams picking mid-tier, especially first round? They've filled some Needs via new FA signings?

If so, doesn't that push the later first round even more towards each teams perception of BPA?

No, I meant the people who told me that there was room for 12-16 draft picks and the team needed to trade down. They were/are wrong.
We've filled 1 spot lol

We also brought back Davis, Ballentine, and Nixon.

Don't like that deal for Nixon because it indicates that they want him as their nickel slot. They need an upgrade there and I don't know why they treat that position like it's not as important as it currently is in today's NFL.

That said, I'm ecstatic to get McKinney. Wait and see on Jacobs, if he stays healthy, he should be really good. Sad but understand with Jones.

Would still love to get Jordan Fuller or Julian Blackmon and maybe Jerome Baker, if there's enough space.

Does anyone have confidence Stokes will return to starter quality? Other than that, everyone is replacement level. I agree we should invest significant draft capital to fill out that depth.

Despite room for improving our depth, I still prefer investing draft capital upfront. Defenses that consistently win with 4 man fronts are always playing late into the playoffs. I don't trust that we have that.
I actually think bringing Ballintine back might mean Stokes is getting cut. Feels like they have enough 4th/5th CBs but still need a starter.

If Stokes is healthy (obviously huge if), I feel like he's going to get the first chance to start. His salary is incredibly low.
I was so so hype on Stokes after his rookie year, felt he was a going to be a better version of Shields. Id love for him to bounce back and be that guy.

I'd be cool with them drafting a slot CB high and then letting the rest of these dudes battle for the outside CB spot opposite of Jaire.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I hope the Packers interest in Jewell means they're interested in other linebackers. Dodson or Baker would elliminate another need from the board heading into the draft.

The Nixon deal is far too much. He isn’t a very good secondary player. I don’t care how good he is at returning kicks when he doesn’t take it out from 8 yards deep in the end zone.

And? I wouldn't be surprised if a single one of those guys got beat out on the depth chart by a rookie

I don't blame her. But it was fun seeing her at Packers games.

Nixon is the only one of those 3 who I think is a lock to make the 53. Davis & Ballentine will have a chance but they'll have to earn it

I'll say this about nickel CBs. There are alot of bad ones in the NFL. I think Nixon is meh but you could do worse

Tyler Davis is one of their best on ST. He'll be back.

While I agree with the Nixon point if we're useing the RS baseline of "not needing anymore Wicks/Walker/Valentine level rookies" he'd be absolutely in danger of it if we added a couple CBs in the draft at that level

As long as we all remember him as Mr. Biles or Simone's husband.

I think if Nixon is back as the nickel/slot QB, something went wrong.
