Booker is on track to have his first 2000+ points in one season. He'd have to average 26.2 points per game and not a miss a game for the rest of the season.
Additionally, if Booker doesn't miss anymore games, this would be his first time playing over 70 games since the 2019-2020 season.

Book needs to mix his FIBA and NBA types of play.

He would be an efficient two-way SG capable of scoring a ton of points if needed BUT usually averaging around 20 with a lower usage and a much better defense than in the past season.

We're lucky to have a guy like Book on this team and have had him for a decade. He's shown time and time again he's willing to do what this team needs to win games.

For all his faults he's the kind of star we needed after the Nash years.

It's just so frustrating how both owners have failed to surround Booker with the right talent to be a contending team aside from the 2021 team and the narrative around Booker would be completely different if he were surrounded by a deep team like Boston or OKC.

I dunno, Ant kind of sounded a bit condescending there by saying he's "impressed" with Book. Like, Book has been the top SG in the league for some years now. If anything, Book would be the one saying he's "impressed" with Ant.

I felt like he was giving Book props basically saying how humble Book was, knowing he can drop 70, yet he played the gritty defense that no one else wanted to.

Ant was like 16 when Book dropped his 70pt game and a lot of kids his age (and generally among casuals) took that as all Book is, an empty scorer with a 70pt game on one of the worst teams in the league for a good 5yr stretch. Maybe that wasn't all Ant thought of Book or that was his impression of Book but that was certainly Book's reputation even as recently as 2021 before we had the Finals run for a lot of people.

And then for him to turn into a legit star in this league, becoming the best 2 guard in the NBA and putting up massive playoff performances, that evolution of Book does fly in the face of Book's Olympic role/play where they didn't need that superstar 2 guard putting up B2B 40pt+ games in the Finals but rather a more dialled back role player playing defense, making the extra pass and just doing team player stuff.

Looking at Book's play and stats in the Olympics, not only was he the team leader in 3PT%, he was also a close 3rd in APG and #1 in Ast to TO ratio (6.6 to 1). He was awesome just doing all the little things like taking care of the ball, moving it and hitting shots that got to him. For a Suns fan seeing how our superstar embraced and thrived in a "lowly" team player role, that's something I'm impressed with. And I think that's also what Ant was impressed with as well
