Both teams had same amount of points in paint scored.

Watching star shoot 20 FTA is no fun.

This year:
Antetokounmpo is averaging 11.0 FTA per game. Dončić 8.9 and Gilgeous-Alexander 8.8.

Five years ago:
Harden 11.0, Embiid 10.1 and Antetokounmpo 9.5

Ten years ago:
Durant 9.9, Harden 9.1, D-Howard 9.0

Fifteen years ago:
D-Howard 10.7, Wade 9.8, L-James 9.4

Twenty years ago:
O'Neal 10.1, Iverson 9.5, Duncan 8.5

Thirty years ago:
Robinson 11.6, O'Neal 10.5, Mourning 9.5

Forty years ago:
Dantley 12.0, M-Malone 10.2, some-dude named Jeff Ruland 8.5

In conclusion, the stars have always taken FTAs per game in the 9-11 range. There is nothing new this year. What Orlando needs is Banchero to become one of these sorts of players. He's actually dropped from 7,.9 to 7.3 this season. Wrong way dude! But still good for 7th best in the NBA this season.

p.s. this is Jeff Ruland

Looking at box scores of other teams...

I miss the days when a Magic player can get these 20+ rebounds other players seem to be doing lately.

I wouldn't mind signing Derozan to a 2-yr deal.

Jrue is growing on me... question is, would he be wanting to leave a championship contender?

We can pay him a lot more than Boston is likely willing to pay him.

it's possible that the Celtics don't win a ring this year, then what?

As good as the Celtics are they are vulnerable.

I think BOS went all in on this dream team knowing the cost…I think they pay Jrue, pay the tax, and contend for a few more years with this lineup. Having said that -he’d be great, in the same way Dejounte would but without selling off assets other than salary.

Especially if they win a ring this year, they will keep team together.
On East they are comfortable favorite to win, on West, i think Nuggets can beat them. Not sure for anybody else.

They are apsolute juggernaut at home with whooping 29-3 record. And whoever wants to win a title will have to win in Boston as they will hold home court adventage whole playoffs long.

I see Boston in a big enough market that they will pay the tax and laugh all the way to the bank and W column to just fight the concept.

We’ll see. That second apron tax is no joke and Jaylen’s max extension kicks in.
