Definitely this years D.I.T.R.

He's a 3rd stringer on a good team at best right now. Unplayable on most nights.
With that being said, as a 24 year it's unfair to suggest this is his ceiling.

Right now isn't relevant when we're in development mode. Why would you say he's unplayable most nights, I disagree with that. He's playable depending on the style you want and the opportunity thats available. I think the only reason he didn't play for a while was because he was hurt. Hes a passing big that can shoot the 3, guys like that don't grow on trees and we want them considering we just traded for one

We need to retain him or someone else will

He can be signed right to the last day of the season. Right now, the team is cycling guys through 10 day contracts, but there ultimately could be a regular contract for Porter using that spot. Also, Temple can be dropped for the last game to open up a roster spot.

I think he's a bubble rotation player at worst right now, at least when he's healthy. He needs some strength though. An offseason working on strength he'll be a for sure rotation player.

The fact that we're not signing him right now shows that the FO is probably very high on him.
He's only eligible for a 2yr extension right now, but will be able to sign a 4yr deal with us over the summer.
If we can retain for him 4yr/20mil - that'd be an absolute steal.

People need to realize that not every player has to be viewed under the lense of them becoming a starter. You need role players and young guys that can grow into specific roles. Porter is exactly that. You get these guys and give them smaller deals to fill out your bench
