Watching DeMar lead a 39-50 win team is my happy place

He could have been a top 10-15 player in another era.

I love Demar but no way...he struggles too much against rangy players with length and is a subpar defender.

Let's plug prime Demar in the league in the league in 2005. Could you put Demar over guys like:

Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Dirk, Nash, Kidd, Lebron, Wade, Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Vince, McGrady, Iverson, Yao, Amare etc.

He'd probably be top 20-25 and in the category with guys like Arenas, Marion, Billups, Parker, Gasol, Redd etc.

Now that we’ve got our shooting problems fixed should we bring him home? He might even take a discount to come back here.

Sure - if he accepts a very cheap deal and agrees to be a bench player.

Neither will happen
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Demar is not a bench player.

He would be our best scorer and would start obviously.

Then he wont be coming back.

We have no room for a guy to be in our starting lineup who cannot shoot or defend. He has the same fit issues as Siakam but is worse overall at this point in their careers.

Not saying you're wrong but in this game head to head with Pascal, Demar was much better, not worse. Just one game I know
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

We are a lottery team in the bottom 7 of the league. Wtf do we need DeFrozen for? To get into the play-in and get swept by the 1st seed (at best), but more likely to get eliminated in the play-in.

Nostalgia won't help us win for the future. DeFrozen on our team is a sign that we are treadmilling.

That being said, I do thank him again for being the trade filler that got us Kawhi and a championship. Tough break, Deebo, hopefully you win one in your last seasons left in the league.
I acknowledge and thank the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations for allowing me to live, work and play on their unceded traditional territories.
