Edit: Removed the 2nd

RW3 could fit nicely in Charlotte's front-court as a solid veteran

Portland maintain's their big man depth and gets below the tax

Team X takes a flier on Thor

Portland reportedly turned down a deal similar to the Steven Adams deal. I doubt this is what they held off for.

I'm skeptical that any team is offering value for Brogdon above immediate salary relief. Perhaps cap space + 2nd type of deal. Could get a late 1st (or similar value asset) if taking back a similar-salary junk EC as filler but that doesn't get Portland under the tax.

This is a real topic…not fun for fans to accept, but it’s unlikely that POR ownership feels any compulsion to pay tax penalties in a rebuild/tank situation.

Simons looks great and it’s hard to let go of a bright spot…but how is he ultimately fitting with Scoot & Shaedon? He’ll be an UFA before they’re ready to really make any noise and he’s honestly not a great fit with either. Painful but they should sell high. I love him for ORL because they can (maybe) compensate for his defensive concerns, but he’s not the star his numbers suggest. A couple frps, salary relief and maybe a guy like Cole Anthony, who can provide enough offense off the bench and is paid appropriately for that role.

Would SAS make sense as a buy low on Green? If pops can’t get that kid to play smarter, don’t think anyone can.

Simons to HOU
Green to SAS
8 and a future FRP to PDX

Then SAS moves Keldon for Giddey and let’s Jalen take the 6th man role?

Many on ORL board are locked on Monk…I think it’s mostly based on availability.

I think Monk is to Simons like Simons is to Booker…I’m not sure Monk is a big enough leap. I think Simons is on another level and would like ORL to stop cheering for bargains…id like to believe we’re moving past that phase.
