Best offense this season?

I'm curious about what NL teams you consider better on offense than the Mets.

The Phillies, the Diamondbacks, the Braves, the Cubs for sure. The Rockies will score more runs, but they're obviously helped by Coors. And maybe the Giants if Bonds is healthy.

2006 runs scored has little to do with the current teams. You haven't taken into account injuries, prospect being called up, trades, free agency acquisitions, etc. For instance, the Devil Rays had, I think the worst offense in baseball last year, but this year it's just completely different at basically every position and it's much better. They could easily score 120 more runs than they did last year. The Cubs had plenty of injuries and added Soriano and DeRosa. The Red Sox had injuries, Mark Loretta and Alex Gonzalez; they've added J.D. Drew and Julio Lugo.

^In that case Ill take the Indians anyway since Hafner missed so much time last season. On top of that Marte, Peralta, almost have to hit better and the platoon system in left, right, and first should pay off dividends.

The only thing that keeps the Mets from blowing those teams out of the water is Shea Stadium, a tough park for hitters.

And you haven't taken into account Reyes who will take his game to another level, Wright will be better, and Beltran looks like he's going to crush the ball every time up. Then you add in professional hitters like Delgado, Alou and LoDuca. Milledge will eventually take over for Green, or, it will be Carlos Gomez whose in AAA and is a STUD.

But then again the Yankees had a struggling Arod, an injured Cano for a portion of the season, and no matsui.

^^^uhhh what??? Ichiro is pheonomial, and Sexson and Beltre are run of the mill sluggers with low averages. Kenji Kojhima is a pretty good hitting catcher, but they aren't the best offense in baseball, or the American league, or the AL West

The Cubs will never be a good offense until the organization realizes the fundamentals and basics of a lineup. People with good OBP hit at the top, power hitters in the middle. You think they'd realize after trotting out last years anemic team (often batting Neifi Perez, career .298 OBP, in the 2nd spot) they'd realize how to score runs. But lo and behold, Soriano is still leading off.
