LeBron and JJ Redick are teaming up on a podcast

Sounds interesting. I'm a huge anti-podcasts guy, especially when active players appear on podcasts hosted by other active players, but this sounds good. JJ Redick is smart and his approach to the NBA is great and LeBron is one of the greatest basketball minds ever who also understands the business side of it.

Looking forward to this.

I am so hyped for this I can’t wait. I think most people would t want to hear bron doing anything other than what the focus of this pod will be: X’s and O’s.

Don't expect much actual content scrutinizing basketball, but more of fluff piece, especially with LeBron on board, i.e More High Fives than Deep Dives. Saw the same when KD joined Bill Simmons' Podcast.'

Yeah, with Redick being over-analytical for mainstream media - and LeBron being a basketball geek actually, it has tremendous potential regardless you like Bron or not.

lebron doesnt have much of a personality; plenty of insight and knowledge but i think people will get bored fast.

I really wish there was a visual accompanying that so I can see what they're talking about. My basketball knowledge isn't enough to process that in my head in real time. I'm excited for the pod but I'll definitely have to sit down with a pen and a pad if I want to fully understand it.

AI will change the game here and make this type of content a lot more accessible.

What would make this great is if their production crew could actually diagram what he's saying, would make it more engaging.

You would need 3 defenders that are all on the same page, because if 1 person screws up that's either an open 3 or an open layup. Rather than just a late contested 3 while the shooter is flying away from the basket. But there's always counters to everything. If they do switch that the shooter could just stop and flare backwards and then he gets an even easier shot or a direct contest coming straight up and then he can take him to the rim that way. Seems more complicated than what they're actually trying to prevent.

It’s the same old stuff we normally expect - virtually anything to keep his name relevant while his team sucks.
