I don't know about the Knicks.

Thibs is playing guys too much.

He coaches every game like it is the 7th game of the NBA finals.

Hart played 48 minutes today in a regular season game.

That is going to take a toll.

OG is now hurt again.

OG is not a Thibodeaux kind of player. He is pretty fragile.

We are all less than 15games left... if it took a toll, then we havent seen it yet. However, with the injuries to Randle and Mitch, they will be fresh coming back.

But yeah,OG and Mitch are injury prone.

It's Thibs trademark. To run down his PF-SFs to a ground, until they are broken. Guy played Deng 42 mpg for several years, until Deng, at age of 29 didn't look like he is 46.

As for OG,there is nothing wrong with him ( MRI clean), so long term it won't impact their playoffs.

Now i'm not sure, if you are Knicks fan, that you are actually better team with Randle playing.

But to be fair, they played against Warriors without 3 starters, and Thib's grindhouse still got them W.

Knicks are just 1000 times tougher without RJ & Randle. RJ like I said before is new LaVine, no matter how his stats look, he makes teams worse because of his defense & playing style. Randle is OK but a weak link on defense & is easy to guard, because he is helpless as soon as he gets doubled. The Knicks are scary and I don't wanna play them and I don't wanna read the gb the whole off season how bad Paolo & Franz are compared to other young stars (who doesn't even get their teams to the playoffs in most cases) because they shot 30 % against them in the series.

On the other side the Knicks (and Magic) could be the teams that fell off most in the playoffs because other teams start to put the same effort/intensity on defense. Happened to the Knicks 2 or 3 years ago already, when they were 3rd in the east and had the best defense but lost in the 1st round because other teams matched their intensity but this team is much better with Brunson.

Mitchell usually looks terrible for a while after he comes back from injury. I remember playing them once after he came back, and he could barely make it up and down the court.

In any scenario we made the playoffs or playins this year I imagined getting swept and still do. It has nothing due to my trust in the players they will become and everything to do with the lack of veterans on the roster.

Again, I am OK with being swept. Paolo / Franz will get their taste of playoff intensity. The more games we steal bag, the happier ill be. If we manage to eek into the second round this year, I will be blown away even if I do not see that happening.

My reasoning is, unless Paolo develops into a number top 5 offensive threat in the NBA we simply need a 3rd scoring option.

The trick here is to ignore RealGM during the offseason. It works great! 8-)

If we play the Knicks and they have home court advantage I think the 3 most likely outcomes are:

Knicks in 7 (29.6%)
Knicks in 6 (23.7%)
Magic in 7 (22%)

With us having ~34% win probability overall

If we have home court?

Knicks in 7 (29.5%)
Magic in 7 (24%)
Knicks in 6 (21.7%)

With us having ~39% win probability overall

Based on what maths? I am not being flippant and actually am interested in how you came to Orlando being the underdog with home court.

I used the ESPN PBPI for both teams, have a flat +3 for home court advantage, and then took the net and plugged it into the following formula: =1 / (1 + EXP(-1 * (Net * 0.1))). Then used the output as a probability and ran a bunch of simulations.

Goga plays Hartenstein better. We should be keeping him sharp.

How soon a little success makes yall forget. We Magic posters had to be active during offseason because our tank was racing for the finish line.

You can bet, we were in the threads of draft prospects shooting 10 straight 3s in an empty gym, big men doing Hakeem moves against overweight undersized gym trainers with brooms and of course, investigating if said prospect is really 2inches taller than reported

Suggs is challenging Isaac as our biggest game changer. We're 17-3 in the last 20 games Suggs has played, including 8 in a row.

Why is this thread not good enough? literally has the same info..

edit: It's almost at page 100 anyway, so someone can make a seeding thread title one or something if that makes it better for a special edition.

The Knicks hasn't lost a road game since 15 Feb: against the the Magic actually. Their next road game is against Denver. And Orlando really, really need New York to lose at least one game.

Miami up 6 in the 4th against the Cavs. Hopefully the Heat hold on so that the Knicks can get past the Cavs. A Miami loss wouldn't be the end of the world for us though.
Pacers up 22 against the Pistons unfortunately.

I think ultimately we want Miami to lose as they have the tiebreaker on the Magic and winning the division could also be beneficial from a tiebreaker perspective too.
