They're 5-5.

Predictable really. I don't think anyone will be surprised if they pivot to trade Young instead (they should). I'm still hoping we can somehow trade for Murray.
Trae made Simmons worst contracts draft. I've never thought of Trae as a bad contract but man they made a good case.

Talking about Trae got me thinkig... WHAT IF... man imagine Luka in our division. Playing him at least 4 times a season...

Another idea would be beneficial for Orlando is to acquire Ben Simmons for his final year of his contract.(40 million 2024/25 season).

Orlando Magic acquires Ben Simmons/ Trade Exception (Spencer D.) and future pick.

Brooklyn Nets acquires Wendell Carter and Cole Anthony.

This potential move could pay off for Orlando as they are need of a veteran point guard with two way potential and if he's healthy/locked in would be a great story like Markelle Fultz.

Jamal Mosley and his coaching staff would embrace Simmons to play high level basketball again!

This move also allows Jonathan Isaac to play in the SL.

Cam Johnson is coming off the bench now. I'd trade Wendell and Cole for him. Then, sign Tyus to replace Cole and re-sign Goga. Move up in the draft to pick Filipowski.

Is Cam Johnson a terrible contract?

He's been pretty impactful prior to this season. Almost as much as Isaac, but he can play longer minutes.

If the Cavs flame out again early in the playoffs and Mitchell says "I'll sign an extension, but only if you make changes" what's the most you'd be willing to offer up to Cleveland for Garland?

I don’t see Mitchell staying with Cavs. He wants to play in the big lights.

Not trading Suggs, Franz or Paolo for sure. Maybe like 3 1st round picks or 2 1st round picks and WCJ. The problem is the Cavs would be looking for win now pieces in exchange and we cant really offer that unless its a 3 team trade.

Hmmm, he's probably what, top 40 in trade value? I mean I'd trade a lot. I'd have Franz and Paolo ahead of him but that's it.

He's probably in that silver dollar range. I'm in the mood to think about the currency framework.

Two dollars (top 10): Paolo
One dollar (top 20): Franz
Silver dollar (top 30): Garland
50 cents (top 50): Suggs
35 cents (top 70): AB
25 cents (top 150): Jett, draft equity, WCJ
10 cents (top 240): Moe, Cole, Goga, JI

It's hard to put together a trade though.

I do not want Simons. This team has an identity and he doesn't fit it. I think Grayson Allen or Monk would fill it much better and would require zero assets. Good thing is, if we want Grayson Allen, he's ours.. Phoenix will not be able to afford him.

Grayson has around a 590 EFG and 616 TS for his career.

Shooting is great for Allen but I feel like Magic need another player in the starting lineup that can create for themselves.

There are only so many balls? :dontknow:

What makes Ingles so great, is there is no way he is good enough for the starting lineup but in every way imaginable he balances our shot creating play making duties from the bench. Just his feet on the floor causes offensive productivity of that unit to tick up.

So if we want a creator it either has to remain Ingles, or we find someone new for the bench. Just my opinion. I think that Paolo as point guard is a feature....not a bug.

Glad to know we explored trading the guy.

MF is a great guy nonetheless.

Good little article. Not too much new information, but for those who wondered, it was nice to get some clarification that it's just one of his shoulders/arms where has the TOS issues. Article jives with what I've been saying all these years regarding the condition and puts the doubters to bed. The fact that he explored/considered trying to revamp his career by shooting left handed is insane and a testament to how crippling TOS is. Also - the fact that surgery was indeed an option but he was told it may not help at all I think answers a lingering question we've had. Also, noticed some verbiage that indicates he won't be here next season (not surprising).

Which admittedly does beg the question why he's actually playing rotation minutes right now.

Even if you don't think Black is ready, just play 9 guys rather than force feed minutes to a guy struggling to make any sort of positive impact as much as Markelle is.
