Yeah but he's been injured and coming off injuries most of his short career.

If I were Magic I would trade for Sexton before Simons...better player and probably cheaper to get... If I am the BLAZERS I change before Ayton/Grant than Simons...

I like some Ayton/Thybulle to the Hawks for OO/Hunter/Griffin...

then trade Grant for expiring +FRP...to the Mavs?

Maxi to CLIPPERS

THJ/Tucker/O-Max/Mavs25 to BLAZERS J.Grant to MAVS..

You could send the expiration of THJ to some team with salary space that does not find anything better in FA and obtain the necessary savings...
THJ to PISTONS?
THJ to MAGIC?
THJ to 76ers?
THJ to PACERS?

OO/RWilliams
Draft/Murray
Hunter/Griffin
Sharpe/Simons
Scoot/Brogdon
1+1=11

Pretty sure the Blazers already tried the Zach Collins experiment and it didn't end well. Something about Portland and injury prone big men not meshing.

Maybe some GM falls for Ayton’s late season usage.

I’m glad Dallas won’t and I didn’t..

But could see some three team deal around Poeltl or Vuc making sense..

Perhaps with the mediocre 2024 draft, some team just might reach for an Ayton for the guy
does rebound and only has two years left on his deal.

I would move Grant, Brogdan, Matisse and potentially Simons before Ayton if he keeps playing like this.

I also dont believe he will keep playing like this. Dont trust a guy that can go from bad to good in this dramatic of fashion. Shows the motor / effort is still not consistent. Dont believe it ever will be.

When the shots stop dropping or the touches decrease, the effort level for Ayton across the board will fall. Thats not how winners play the game.

You only need to trade 1 guy to get under the tax… which guy is most likely?

I would say Grant or Matisse most likely to be traded, Brog perhaps not far behind in odds

I’d go Simons. Because I’m trading whichever has the most value..

- But I think Portland should trade all that return a future first with any variance. No matter what players are coming back.
