Honestly I used to love Tim Thomas. One of my favorite players. But he just could never consistently put it together. I was always rooting for him but it was mostly disappointing. And honestly it’s kind of how i feel about Dame on the Bucks.

One of the reasons I think Dame is grossly overrated (other than the fact he doesn't even try on defense) is that he takes a lot of tough/low% shots when it is completely unnecessary.

His mentality is, why drive to the basket for an easy 2 or get fouled when I can force up a really cool 3pt shot from 5 feet behind the line.

I hope to hell we trade his overrated ass this off-season.

Dame can make some tough/dumb shots, but doesn't mean it's smart to keep taking them when it's not necessary.

One thing I'll give Dame is that he's really good at getting to the basket and either finishing or getting fouled. When you're that good at getting to the rim, maybe don't force up as many contested 3's as he does.

Shooting those contested 3 is what allows him to consistently get to the rim being 6'1' 33 years old. Those crazy 3s is what keeps defenses on him at halfcourt. Those crazy shots are the whole reason he has 60% TS on superstar volume
