Just admit Edey is not the best college player in the last 25 years and we can move on.

Gilbert is extremely stupid, who cares.

"Steph Curry wasn't a PG in college" no.
Sorry your boy didn't make the top 10 list.

Is it really worth humiliating yourself online by saying "I think Gilbert Arenas is a good basketball analyst and in particular good at college basketball analysis" to try to win an argument online about a guy no one thinks is more than a mid to fringe first round pick.

Edey has two Wooden Awards, sorry.

My man focus on the list. Gilbert Arenas didn't make the list he's just debating it.

Why is Edey not even in the top 10 when you said he's the best college player in the last 25 years?

Some people have nothing better to do than troll

I don't kink shame, whatever floats their boat.

VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles

Wait how is that trolling?

I posted a list of the top 10 players since 2000 and Edey is nowhere on this list.

I get you guys love Edey, but clearly he's not even close to being the best player in college in the past 25 years.

That college ranking is 100% biased by NBA success. Any attempt to use that as a supporting argument is weak.

Jimmer Fredette was a NBA success?

Like come on guys we making excuses these guys were simply better in college. I remember Fredette in college he had the country on fire. Every game was must watch.

Edey is playing in the prime of social media and nobody is talking about him Nationally. That should tell you all you need to know. If you are that great the buzz will follow.

Edey is great, but he's not the best player I have seen in college in the last 25 years. That's all I'm saying.

Speaking of teams that would be good fits for him, does anyone else feel Milwaukee?

You've got a defensive system that would play to his strengths (or hide his weaknesses), a tailor made mentor in Lopez and a need from the team to see him succeed and replace Brook due to him aging out. Seems like a perfect combination of opportunity and team investment that he might not get elsewhere.

I don't feel like Edey will be a superstar, or even a starter, but I wouldn't mind Denver drafting him. Anything is better than Nnaji as Jokic's backup.

Yeah superstar is hard to imagine, outside of something crazy happening (like Jokic). Starter depends entirely on the defence, offensively his screens, hands and soft touch are enough to get him on the floor even in a limited role (in that Zubac or even Gobert offensive role).

Denver could be interesting. Their defensive scheme would likely suit him as well and they've got the perimeter defenders, even in the bench unit where he'd spend most of his time, to cover him a little there too. If Denver is going big though I prefer either Oso Ighodaro or Daron Holmes II for them.

Edey is a pretty awful fit with Giannis.

I would take Hunter Dickinson over Edey.

- Better passer
- Softer hands
- More post moves
- Can shoot the 3

Edey is going to disappoint a lot of people if they think he will continue his dominance at the NBA level.

It's funny they ignore this dude is purely a post player. He has no jumpshot, doesn't shoot the 3. You think teams are going to play through this guy in the post every time? Not gonna happen.

Great college player, but he will be a role player/backup center at the NBA level. I would probably have a different view of him if he had range to his game. He doesn't he's just a post presence in a era were bigs are triple threats like Jokic/Embiid.

One of the big reasons those 2 are dominating the league today is they have it very easy on the defensive end. You make them work there, expend energy, pick up fouls, it pays dividends in the 4th quarter.

Embiid's defensive burden is ridiculous, do you even watch basketball.

Embiid's extreme defensive usage is a big reason why he's always hurt in the postseason.

Jokic also constantly is targeted on defense and has to expend a ton of energy on defense.

He showed you why he isn't an NBA player today. Can't move on defense.
