BULLS
In:MPJ/Ayton/Cancar
Out:Lavine/Vuc/Terry/Carter /Blazers FRP/Bulls FRP
The Bulls consolidate and improve the front court, if they can stay healthy, they could compete against anyone
Ayton/Dru
MPJ/Cancar
DDR/P.Williams
AC/Ayo
White/Lonzo
DENVER
In:Lavine/Thybulle Out:MPJ/R.Jackson/Nnaji/Cancar
They get the best player, I think Lavine fits very well next to Jokic/Murray offensively and one of the best perimeter defenders in the league
BLAZERS In:Vuc/Nnaji/Terry/Carter/Jackson/Blazers FRP/Bulls FRP
Out:Ayton/Thybulle
The Blazers get their pick back and get another lottery pick for their rebuild, some mid-level prospects and a couple of veterans. Carter can be easily moved around and I think Vucevic could be a good mentor at this stage of his career, plus he really He can play

Re: Bulls/Nuggets/Blazers
Pass for POR.
The POR pick is likely to end up a SRP and those players are pants. CHI pick has real value but that value depends on the year it conveys.
I do love the idea of Ayton going elsewhere. The more I think about it that way, the more I like this deal.
POR considers this deal.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Re: Bulls/Nuggets/Blazers
The Bulls can't trade a pick until at least 2027, not this year, 2025 to SAS protected 1-10, 1-8, 1-8 so there's that.
Right now with whatever the neck path PORT is continuing to take, sadly for their fans that looks like a 2029 2nd round pick. The value for PORT getting their pick back is that allows them to include a future trade in a trade. Right now they can only trade the current year pick not knowing if by some miracle the future pick conveys
I'm almost sold the MPJ has put his back issues behind him and that's not going to keep him from playing 70+ games So I'm good with him. I think Ayton can play, maybe he can be better on defense but he's good when he's not thinking he should be the #1 or option carrying the team.
With their combined long term Expensive contracts I don't want to resign DeRozan to another big contract. I'm starting White and Dosunmu and they are the team leaders, maybe more importantly controlling the ball and making sure the Bulls run the Billy offense. I do bring back Patrick Williams to start and if he is freed from Lavine and DeRozan dominating the ball so he can do what he's shown when they weren't on the floor. You don't have to share my optimism on Lonzo Ball but thanks. I move on from Caruso because while he's great on defense, he's spotty at best shooting and Dosunmu, Williams, Craig, Phillips, Bitim and Lonzo bring defense more than DeRozan , Lavine and Vucevic have.
I would look for the Bulls to end up with future picks and young unrealized potential/ bench coming back for DeRozan and Caruso
MPJ Phillips Taylor
Williams Craig
Ayton maybe Drummond
Dosunmu Bitim
White I wish for Ball

Re: Bulls/Nuggets/Blazers
Not a fan for Portland. Bad players coming in locked up for years for more productive players. The Bulls pick is a nice start, but in an unhyped draft and that pick being barely in the lottery is not enough to undue the difference in player value. As JRoy indicated, the Blazers would have to be very lucky to be out of the lotto to convey as it is, and it we’d be even further away if we take a rapidly declining Vuc who will be on the wrong end of 35 years old by the time we could even sniff the playoffs.

Re: Bulls/Nuggets/Blazers
Lol why would Denver do that? As strange as it sounds MPJ is far more durable then Lavine, he is better off-ball player, and he is better defender. His size really helps the Nuggets. And on top of that Lavine has worse contract.

Re: Bulls/Nuggets/Blazers
MPJ is a better player for a winning team than Lavine, his main problem is health, and Lavine isn't that much better at it.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
