Re: Official Playoff Seeding Thread
We're now 4 games up on the Heat for the division title with 12 games to go for both teams. If we go a realistic 7-5 the rest of the way, the Heat would have to go 11-1 to tie us and win the division (since they own the tiebreaker).

Then they get blown out at home vs a team on a back to back. Miami is quite the strange team.

Interesting but not going to get ahead of myself. Things are looking sunny in the Kia Center.

I guess 3 out of 4 not bad....
The best news is that we are 4 games up on the play-in. My goal was always to get in playoffs and avoid play-in. I might shift the goal to be homecourt advantage. What a time!

Actually its 4 out of 4 for me... i want IND to push MIA down to 8th. Who knows, maybe ATL can surprise and kick then out of the playins more than the Bulls can.

Re: Official Playoff Seeding Thread
We split the season series with the cavs, what's the tie breaker after that if we both finish with the same amount of wins?

MIA as pepe said, has a cupcake schedule. We disnt do ourselves any favors by having BI injured lol.
They will rise in thw standings. Qe just hope we can fend them off.
Orlando can reasonably be assumed to land on (at least) 48 wins. So for Miami to tie, that's a 10-2 record. Sorry: not seeing that.

Tiebreaker Basis – 2 Teams Tied
(-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
(1) Better winning percentage in games against each other
(2) Division leader wins a tie over a team not leading a division
(3) Division won-lost percentage (only if teams are in same division)
(4) Conference won-lost percentage
(5) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position)
(6) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs in other
conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position)
(7) Better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against all opponents (“point differential”)
Tiebreaker Basis – Three or More Teams Tied
(-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
(1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
(2) Better winning percentage in all games among the tied teams
(3) Division won-lost percentage (only if all teams are in same division)
(4) Conference won-lost percentage
(5) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position)
(6) Better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against all opponents (“point differential”)

Todays Games of Significance
Nets @ Knicks
Kings @ Magic
Magic need to win to stay in front of Knicks unless the Nets can pull off an upset. Kings are fighting for 6th seed and just lost to the Wizards.
Btw the Knicks game is early today, 1pm EST

Knicks win as expected. We’re tied but hold the tiebreaker. We’re probably going to have to go 8-4, if not 9-3, to get the 3 seed.

But we have to win today or we go back to 5th.
Knicks are tough, they might get the 3rd seed and it will be Cleveland dropping down.
