I don’t understand betting nor do I want to but the fact you can bet on random stuff like this is ridiculous. And did they not think they would get caught?

In Europe, but especially in UK there was system of gambling on sport events where you could bet on everything.
You can bring own idea for bet and house gives you coefficient.
Let's say you ask for coefficient for first thing in basketball game to be half court 3 point shot, it would be something like 3000.
So if you bet on that coefficient (3000) and placc 100 euros or dollars your potential win is whooping 300000 (minus taxes).
Player's margin of points exist for decades. Normally it's 1,70 to 2 coefficient and something like Kawhi Leonard vs Pacers 24,5 points on both over and under bet. Basically you can double money if you win.
So if you are player you can easly scam system by betting on yourself because you are only "factor" that is involved in bet. Play yourself under, take almost no shots and your $4000 invested money turns into $7200

OT add ( since i'm on comp now, not on phone) i had friend in highschool that was betting that 2 out of 3 NBA games will go to OT.
Odds : 16x16x16. Without system (2 out of 3) coefficient would be 4096. Meaning , if he placed $20, and all games went to OT, he would won $80 K.
Probability of hitting that is near zero, you lost $20. And 500 idiots like you lost $20. And that's execlly how profit is being made.
Gambling in general is one of fastest booming problems that nobody talks about, and in sports betting will just continue to currupt sports, as all biggest sport teams are now sponsored by some sort of betting houses.
In 2021, it's estimated that in US alone, gambling & betting produced $53B ( billion!) now just imagine how many families are affected by addiction that is being promoted from every outlet.
Won't even go into casingo type gambling. Fasttrack for suicide watch.
We can't bet with places like Fanduel. We have to go through the Indians betting site.Optimus_Steel wrote:pepe1991 wrote:pepe1991 wrote:

Here in Florida they just legalized online betting and now we are being inundated with these ridiculous commercials with people having fun dancing on the beach due to being able to bet online. It’s ridiculous and cringe. Kinda reminds me of the silly commercials tobacco companies used to be allowed to do many years ago.

I have a feeling its shaped me up today where i dint even bet anymore... at least not with money. Dares or sig/avatar bets on the other hand.. lol
But yeah i hope our teams arent touching this. Imagine a bet where Suggs gets injured and leaves the game ans he gets a wind of it. How easy it is to dive or extra aggressive. No one can fault him of he leaves the game, he will pronably get a standing ovation.

I think Boston Is going to get embarrassed again in the playoffs. Recently they blew a 20 point 4th quarter lead, now 30 pt lead blown.

Hopefully.
I haven’t cared about Boston for years, but lately their fans have become absolutely insufferable on these boards when Orlando plays them. They believe the championship is theirs to lose this season and are definitely acting like it.
