Indeed. I'm not sure voters would give him the MVP even if Mavs finish in top5 or even top4, that's how good Jokic's advance numbers are. Though Luka does have great numbers aswell, but just proves it more how good Jokic is. But like you said, if this team was consistent and no major injuries, i think Luka would have won it.

Next season is going to be spicy. With full off season and hopefully new improved additions on the guard/wing positions. That team will have (dare i say) finals potential? :D

Doncic after last game :"Kyrie is Batman and i'm Robin" .

He seems really love Irving in and out of the court, their chemistry is improving every game.

Bye bye casual fans

We will win the MVP this year... Better than Dirk? First win a ring then we can talk about him and Dirk

Gotta win a ring in a Mavs uniform first.

Dirk lead the Mavs through Lakers who were 2x defending champs, swept them, then beat OKC Durant, Westbrook, Harden then Miami Lebron Wade Bosh. Ridiculous and he was the best player in the entire playoffs that year.

Luka is officially the player of the month in the West! Also, Brunson is player of the month in East.

What happens if Mavs are 4th and Nuggets are 3rd at the end?
I think there is no way Luka should not win MVP in that case

Congrats to both of them.
Brunson needed out and it shows for his own good. I can only be happy for him.

Luka has broken double digits in box plus minus, exactly 10.0, one of the best "basic" all-in-one stats, this is his career high.
Here is how it's calculated for those interested.

went to the mavs/rockets game and I have to say luka might need a few games off in addition to the week long play-in rest. His knees were bloodied and he basically was telling kyrie during timeouts "imma need you to take this one b/c i'm out of gas". Him walking around outside of game action showed visible fatigue knee pain.

on a side note. Luka at the start of the game needs to not get frustrated by dillon and/or an non-call on first play. After he lost the ball he spent the rest of the first quarter basically talking about that 1 play. I think kyrie said in a post-game interview how he wish he could have better warned the team how a Ime Udoka coached team will come out.

While it was good entertainment to see luka/dillon constantly bickering at each other Luka has to be careful of it letting teams like the Rockets using it to jump start to early leads.

I rewatched some HL from EuroBasket 2017 when Slovenia win the Championship and i see that that team had a lot of similitudes with Mavs 2023/24 roster.

Luka(18yo OMG) - Luka
Dragic - Irving
Blazic - Exum
Muric - DJJ
Anthony Randolph - PJ
Vidmar - Gafford
Prepelic - THJ ( i hope he can be our Prepelic)

Truly a force. There were some absurd offensive outbursts I got to witness this year. Hoping good health for him next year and maybe 100% health in the finals next time. Hope he works hard on his conditioning and the mavs are ready to go.

Luckily for us fans playing this deep into the playoffs means the off-season isn’t long.

Added note:

Anyone else hope Luka doesn’t play in the Olympics?

He’s running on fumes

He really shouldn't...
He's been playing non-stop for 8 years, he needs these 4 months break.
I hope he lays down and does nothing for 2 months, just watch what he eats...

Slovenia doesn't even have a shot at anything decent in the Olympics. Just get some rest or get citizenship from a better country like Spain since he already played there before.
