"With just 10 games remaining in the 2023-24 season, the Suns have the worst fourth-quarter net rating in the NBA—and it's not even particularly close. Phoenix is outscored by opponents by 14.1 points per 100 possessions, more than double the next-worst team (Miami Heat at -7.0) and nearly seven times worse than the lowly Detroit Pistons (-2.5)."
I wonder how that's even possible. We just give the ball to Deebo every possession and do pretty well, they've got KD & Booker.
Eh. Lot of injuries to their starters, all year long. I think they're just playing to survive the regular season, and then turning it on in post-season. Granted, this is a classic fallacy for contenders... but when you're #1 option is 35yo and your 4th man is Nurkic, I think making the post-season in a really tight and competitive Western conference (11 +500 teams) is OK.
I wouldn't bet against them in the 4th Q of a playoff (or play-in) game over SAC, NOP, MIN and maybe OKC. These teams are a measly 7 games apart.
