He's in the way of someone they like. They don't care what he's actually doing. Same thing with Goga. Although, they have a point on that one.

Every metric shows AB as a better defender. Harris is average on defense.

Sure I guess you believe Dean Wade is the best defender in the league
Dean Wade is a good defender. I remember people laughing about Caruso being a good defender.

At the end of the day despite us collapsing these games, we were in them all. And these are all solid western playoff teams.

We have a bunch of 20-24 year olds tasked with outplaying other teams in the clutch who have done it for 5-10 seasons now. It's not as easy as we think.

The Clippers showed the broadcast of the youngest teams around us and it was Jazz, Detroit, Charlotte and SA.

Much better than Markelle Fultz starting, that's for sure

Caleb is clearly a better shooter than AB and they are the same age. Frankly if we have to bet on something right now a player with Houstan profile is more likely to have a longer career than Black, so he is as much the futur as AB. Harris is clearly a better and more experienced player right now too.

I like Harris other than always being injured.

As much as we all wanna see them compete and win 2 or 3 games or even the whole series, we sorta need the Magic to get embarrassed in playoffs so Weltman has no choice but to actually take action to improve the roster.

Uhm, AB has a better shooting percentage from 3 and does everything else better as well. But ok

Houstan's .372 > Black's .389 when you're appropriately factoring in volume and openness of each attempt.

I think us being ahead of schedule is causing people to forget that this is still an extremely young team going through typical growing pains.

At the end of the day, it's frustrating to watch, especially in a vacuum, but this is still the best season we've put together in over a decade and we're just at the beginning of it.

I'm watching every moment of this team, and I just think it's important to keep in mind the context before judging too harshly. Our best three players are still three to four years away from their prime. It's going to be rough, especially without a star-level veteran to guide the way. That will be the next move in the next two to three years.

Along with sweater vest points, AB clears.

Mosley letting flow dictate his rotations but not inform his game preparation is wild to me

Well said. Definitely frustrating to keep things in perspective on a winnable game like this but you're 100% correct.

probably stems from reliability....same issue with fultz and wendell to a lesser extent

STOP SKEWING STATS - Black has made 35 threes the whole year - 35!! In 1257 minutes. or one 3pt every 35 minutes.
Caleb has 68 in 770 minutes. or one 3pt every 11 minutes.

Who gives a **** about the shooting % when Black barely shoots?

And you can pull some advanced stats if you want - Caleb has a higher WS48, higher VORP, higher BPM and so on :D Those are your usual arguments for Black, right?

Yeah, this is it. He's unreliable. Also, he's a low end roleplayer on an expiring contract blocking AB and Jett.

Return to Orlando Magic
