It's not the first shot you want from WCJ, but it's part of him being out there.

Going inside against JJJ also isn't smart all of the time as we've seen, we have to hit threes.

That doesn’t mean you stop shooting the ball. He has improved this aspect of his game every single year. Just because you have a slump doesn’t mean you stop shooting especially in this 3 point saturated league.
