I totally forgot Castle was even playing until I heard his name in garbage time. Kinda why I'm not super high on him.

I really want to see Clingan go up against Edey.

Furphy
Williams
Salaun
Collier
Missi
Ware

I wouldn’t pick Collier, Ware, or Missi though and Furphy/Williams/Salaun have performed well at times but inconsistent and/or with holes in their games

Carlton Carrington! He's like Ayo Dosunmu. I would consider him with the Pacers pick.

I really like the kid but I think he is returning to Pitt.

Imagine thinking Castle wasn’t relevant because you’re unable to pay attention to the defensive side of the floor. He held Terrence Shannon to 2-12 shooting, but you didn’t hear the announcers say his name, so he must’ve had a bad game. SMH

Castle hasn't played aggressively enough on offense, but part of that is Hurley's offense which is predicated more on off-ball movement and passing than on isolation plays, much like the European teams do. They also typically employ a lot of 4 out schemes when Clingan is in the game to give him the spacing to dominate down low. I think he'll do much better at the NBAs pace.

This is why he is a top 5 player. He plays the game the right way. He is a lock down defender.

And is supposedly one of the best at that. I do expect him to go top ten. I just don't know if I'd take him at 6 or higher.

Clingan is Masai's type of big.

With Koloko out of the picture, I think Masai may consider drafting him.

Olynyk can be the backup 4.

.we definitely aren't taking him at 6, and he won't be there at the Pacers pick

I think it's 60/40 that he'll be there at the Pacers pick as he is on virtually every mock draft. However, I don't know if Masai will pick him even if he's there. In a vacuum he is a Masai type of player, but Masai also considers fit and playstyle. Gradey isn't a Masai type of player. He's a Darko type player (pass, dribble, shoot). You could say the same thing about Olynyk. That's one of the reasons I can't see them taking a guy like Ware. If we take a bigman I think it's going to be a skiled, high IQ big who can pass and potentially shoot, someone like Filipowski or maybe even Clingan if you think the passing is projectable. Heck, if we take the popular Nigeria meme seriously Ighodaro might even be an option at the Detroit pick.

Scottie couldn't shoot either.

Edit: Reed has worldly athleticism?

Reed has a worldly shot and he's more athletic than Topic.

I take it as a no then. You failed your own criteria.

Cheers :)

Why not? He would instantly give us a credible bench.

These guys have Castle and Clingan back to back in our range, and if I was choosing, I'd take Clingan of the two.

#6 and #7

#7 and #8

I don't think Clingan at #6 is outrageous. He might be a better version of Poeltl, and cheaper as well. If you can get that, in this draft, you take it and run. BPA, worry about the fit later.

He should do workouts and tell him we'll guarantee a 3 year deal and draft him with #31 or #32.

Ive seen enough, bring on Clingan. Dude's gonna be in the DPOY discussion in his prime and there's no way he's gonna be available at 17. Dont care if it's a reach, take him with 6
