And you're posting this in this thread why?

This is MVP talk.

Ironically this win could help Jokic winning the third MVP at the end of the season. The chance, if any, of SGA and Luka winning MVP depends on where the Nuggets sit in the standing.

It's over, he could sit it out and still win.

Bit of Ant chat..he’s obviously not winning it this year but the dude is an out and out stud. If you can’t see that, I don’t know what you’re watching.

He’s barely old enough to drink a beer in the States..he’s going to be an enormous (even more enormous?) problem for years.

He would deadass be the Denver Broncos Qb if he was there right now

it's crazy because Holiday doesn't need to move even in inch, his feet are basically set and he gets the ball exactly where he needs it.
he'd def make an awesome QB

I have him 5th as well, despite the relatively pedestrian stats

Jokic winning the FMVP last season in dominant fashion validated his previous two MVP awards. Voters feel more comfortable now accepting Jokic among the all-time greats.

Had he not won the FMVP last season, you'd be seeing a Luka or Shai at the top.

I think the two voters that have Giannis 1st are more egregious
for one, no once cares or even remembers 5th place votes, moreover whomever voted for Brown 5th must have a very distinct criteria that weights team record way above the rest and it's safe to assume that's the same voter that had Tatum 1st. it's obviously wrong and a laughable take but at least there's some argument or logic to it, meaning: best team best player way above everything

there is literally no single argument, not even a propestrous argument for having Giannis 1st

the Brown vote is a symbolic gesture, the Giannis votes in theory could have had a real effect on the race, obviously that's not the case this season as Jokic will win in a landslide but presumably said voter has no way of knowing that

I honestly think Tatum 1st is more egregious than Giannis....

Neither deserve 1st place votes though.

Giannis is definitely having a MVP caliber season. Come on.

sure, in a vaccum

but he literally doesn't have a single argument for #1 THIS season
i'd agree in many years in history, he's get a strong consideration for his raw stats alone..but there are guys with better raw stats, who've played more games, with more team success, better impact stats etc. etc.

Guarantee Stephen A is one of the Tatum first place votes and the Jokic third place vote. He can’t stand a white non-American dominating the league.

What you can’t see on the straw poll is Mark Jackson’s 6th place vote for Jokic.

I expect 2 and three to tighten up but otherwise yeah this is the result we should expect and has been the case since at least early in 2024.

Final points probably something like:

Jokic 920
SGA 580
Luka 550
Giannis 340
Tatum 120

I can't imagine Mark has a vote this year, horrible judgment, extreme racial bias, and an altogether worthless voice for basketball.
