Giannis to OKC
So not looking good for the Bucks recently....this is under the idea that Giannis asks out and for whatever reason wants to go from 1 small market to another.....
Who says no?
Milwaukee: Giannis
OKC:
Chet
Filler
2024 FRP
Two 2025 FRPs
2026 FRP
2027 FRP
Giddey
That's the trade.
Bucks get a elite big to build around as well as an additional 5 firsts to help. The can either trade Dame and rebuild around Chet or keep him and use those picks to add youth to the team. I believe the 5 firsts is the max 1 team can offer to another, as such that's what I did.
Thunder get 1 of the best players in the league and while losing a corner stone and a bunch of picks, they get freaking Giannis. They still, shockingly enough have many more picks to spare.
Who hangs up the phone?
(PS: There's no "both" option, because as I said Giannis has asked out. We're operating under the ideal that the Bucks are trading him)

Should still be a both option. Just because giannis asks out doesnt mean they have to trade him. I think both say no

Depends on how good the picks are.

Here we go again...
I get it, but any and all Giannis trades are DOA.

I think we're at the point the Thunder picks are interchangeable. They are good now...and will be VERY good with this trade. So, to make things easier I'll say the Bucks can choose the 5 first round picks they want.
FTR: My choice would be to make the trade, move Dame as well and try and tank for Flagg. Build around him and Chet and those picks. The players I'm taking this yr (if the trade were made) would be guys who are youngest in this class.

Milwaukee doesn’t own their own 2025 first. (Or unprotected right to any of their first through 2030)
And you just don’t trade Giannis.. Trade everyone else and retool.

Giannis would kill OKC’ spacing. AD would be a better fit. And no need to give up Chet for him.

Giannis just signed an extension right? Doesn't seem to be on the table at all.

Re: Giannis to OKC
Both say no. Milwaukee isn’t trading Giannis. OKC isn’t trading that package for anyone. I don’t mind a bit of a hypothetical here and there but this one is ridiculous.

Well then they keep Dame and retool with him leading and Chet. The picks they get can be used or retraded for someone else. With Brook and Portis they have big tough guys around to help Chet. I think that Dalton Knecht would look good next to those 2 and is ready to play now.
Maybe run with
Dame
MLE Vet??
(Rookie fill in-Knect??)
Chet
Brook
Also with the money they now have, they can get a dude with the MLE. I'd suggested someone that is a good perimeter defender.

Come on. You're a mod and have been around here long enough to know that if a player wants out, he gonna get his way.

Why in God's name would the LAL trade him to a team that they'll be facing in the playoffs? If you hadn't noticed, AD is now the best player on the team. Lebron picks and chooses his moments, AD is the Lakers best player and the guy they'll be building around once Bron leaves.....

Needs Dieng, Wallace, Giddey, or possibly two of the three added. The Bucks have traded all of their picks. They're not going to want to completely bottom out.

Re: Giannis to OKC
If MIL moves Giannis they enter rebuild territory. They have a roster built around the dominating MVP level superstar, that's some excellent older players and a bunch of role players. Once you remove the MVP superstar the older excellent players don't rise to the MVP level, the just get older and the role players are still just that. A lot more moves to get younger and add through the draft have to follow to reshape the roster.

**** off, no. Those picks would be essentially worthless late picks in this situation. If Giannis wanted out, he isn't asking out to OKC either. Sell your poo poo platter elsewhere. OKC gets on their knees for this, Milwaukee shouldn't answer the phone.

Meh. I was gonna put the Knicks or Heat in here as they'd be more likely Giannis demands. However, I decided to do you Bucks fans a favor as I am benevolent and instead present an offer from the team with a historical amounts of assets.
If we're being real and he does say he wants NYC/Miami then this looks fantastic compared to getting Herro/Jaquez/Jovic from the Heat or Randle and crap picks from the Knicks. Or maybe the Lakers for DLo/Reaves and their crap picks. Doesn't it?
Yup. Exactly.

Chet has incredible trade value as someone so young. If Wemby weren't putting up video game stats then Chet would be a LOCK for rookie of the year.
I also added the most NBA ready player in Dalton Knecht. Hes a senior and on a winning team. Probably give you 20 a game next yr. Plus, I think Chet and Dalton would fit in great in MIL, both now and in the long term. They seem like 2 guys who would have no problem staying in Wisconsin the rest of their lives...maybe find a way to get Alex Caruso too. He'd also fit there nicely.
That's not something all NBA players would say.

Because LAL’s championship window is over.

.....with Lebron. It's still the Lakers and they will have cap room. If I was a Mavs fan I'd be worried that they'll sign Luka when he's up for a new deal in a few yrs.
Also FTR, I do not think their window is closed. They can beat any team in the west aside from Denver. OKC should be praying they don't get LAL in the 1st round.

Yeah BUCKS underperform in Playoff do you think Lillard could somehow be available? I feel like they could still get a good haul from Lakers or Heat and they reorganize around Giannis
