We were literally in this same place the year we won the ship.
We were top 10 in offensive and defensive rating that year so, no we aren't in the same place.
Khris Middleton also plays 1/3 of the season now and is on a minute restriction.
There's quite a few differences...
The comparisons to 2021 are pretty hilarious.
The 2021 team looked shaky at times, but they never looked this bad, this consistently.
Also, in 2021 PJ Tucker was the only old slow guy, now half the team is old slow guys. Brook & Middleton are shadows of what they were in 2021 and they are both still guys we heavily depend on.
The fact that Brook & Middleton are toast and we still depend on them as much as we do, is one of the main reasons why we suck.
IMO, the Bucks biggest blunder of the Giannis era still goes back to not trading Middleton for Butler when they had the chance prior to the 2018'19 season.
If Giannis could get 1 ring with Middleton, it's scary to think how many rings he could have gotten with Butler.
