Unlikely to happen but I would not be unhappy if the Raptors pick dropped to below 6th and therefore convey to the Spurs while the Pacers pick move up - both picks in the the 8-10 range - Raptors get a top ten pick this year and have their 2025 pick.

It isn’t possible for the Pacers pick to be in the 8-10 range unfortunately

I guess what you'd like is for the Pacers to lose in the play-in and move up to the #4 pick (not 1-3 which Indiana would keep), thus pushing the Raptor pick to #7 and convey to Indiana.

Thanks - I didn't know that the lottery only determined the top 4 picks.

This should be Haliburton's last regular season game, #65.

I highly doubt he misses any games.

Pacers won't be a play-in team...that much is for sure. Chicago and Atlanta aren't catching them to displace the Pacers.

Right now the Pacers hold the 17th pick. Philly and Miami 1 game and 0.5 game away from Indy right now.

We want Philly and Miami to pass Indy so we end up with at best...15th pick.

I was wondering what happened in the event of ties in regular season standings. I’m only looking at this from Indiana perspective.

Tiebreaker Basis – 2 Teams Tied
(-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
(1) Better winning percentage in games against each other
(2) Division leader wins a tie over a team not leading a division
(3) Division won-lost percentage (only if teams are in same division) (4) Conference won-lost percentage
(5) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position)
(6) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs in other
conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position)
(7) Better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against all opponents (“point differential”)

Tiebreaker Basis – Three or More Teams Tied
(-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
(1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
(2) Better winning percentage in all games among the tied teams
(3) Division won-lost percentage (only if all teams are in same division)
(4) Conference won-lost percentage
(5) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position)
(6) Better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against all opponents (“point differential”)

If a two way tie between Indiana and Philly, (1) gives ties break to Indiana as they won season series 2-1.

If a two way tie between Indiana and Miami, (1) gives tie break to winner of Sundays game.

If a tie between Miami and Philly for 6th, since they are now tied 2-2 in season series, (4) determines tie break. Miami (29-19) currently holds 1.5 game advantage over Philly (28-21) in conference play.

If a 3 way tie for 6th, (2) Indiana gets the tie break if they beat Miami Sunday.

So really need Miami to beat Indiana on Sunday

Omg, if Pacers end up playing Bulls in the play-in.

From my viewing perspective, Pascal always sucks against Embiid and DeMar.

Aren't the 7th to 10th seeds all play-in teams? If Pacers slip to 7th or even 8th (if both Miami and Sixers pass them), then they are a play-in team.

Play-in results have no bearing on draft seating.

Yes Indy will be in the play-in tournament but if they lose they don't drop in to the lottery if I'm not mistaken. Your regular season record still dictates draft order if I am reading things correctly.

I don’t think that’s right. I believe if the 7 or 8 team loses out in the play-in they do in fact become lottery teams.

The reverse would be crazy. Imagine a 9 seed winning it all after having just won the draft lottery. LOL

Yes...I stand corrected.

In 2022...Brooklyn was 7th, Cleveland was 8th, Atlanta was 9th and Charlotte was 10th.

Cleveland didn't win any games in the play-in tournament and dropped into the lottery at #14 in the draft (and took Ochai Agbaji).

We were in the lottery lat season after losing the play in.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

After the OG trade, Raptors were 3-1 with the new group + Siakam before a Poeltl injury. Bringing us to 9-6.

Edward Rogers just straight up lying with those stats , I’m assuming cause he wants Masai out of the picture.

Part of being a good team is being able to overcome injuries. Every team gets hurt, only the crappy ones cry about it. It just exposes the lack of true depth and lack of roster balance on this team...

What’s your point. All I did was list the stats.

Think my point was pretty clear to anyone (maybe not you) that wants to use injuries as an excuse as to why we sucked this year lol.

Siakam was actually good in the play in last year. 32/9/6 60TS% and Raps were -10 in the 5.5 mins he sat
