I highly doubt this happens. I could see a team maybe using a late 2nd on him since the hit rate on late 2nds are so low anyways. But even then, that would be a huge stretch and I still doubt this happens.

If the Pelicans defer the Lakers' pick to 2025 (which I think they will), I think the Lakers are gonna cave and use their 1st rounder on him. The 17th pick starts to be in the crapshoot territory anyway, especially in a weak draft.

There are "plausible" Bronny destinations like Cleveland, New York and Phoenix drafting shortly after them. It's advantageous for these teams to spread false rumors they're gonna draft him as a way of tricking the Lakers into drafting him and helping a better player slip down in the draft.

Most teams don't really give any direct feedback to players. There are many players who thought they had a terrible workout with a team and were still drafted by that team. Teams usually keep quiet about their scouting reports, it a non issue. Plus Lebron is on the way out anyways. The only team that has any pressure related to this might be the lakers, who might just sign him if he goes undrafted.
