What should (what would you) do the RAPTORS this offseason?
Let's start with the premise that they keep their selection... (they get 6) what players do you like in that range? They also have another 3 selections in this Draft (17/28/31) if I'm not confused... So what trades or movements would you make in the FA...?

If they are at 7 after the lottery the pick goes to SA?

If Toronto keeps their pick, they should make moves to add to their young core and go for play-in.
If Toronto loses their pick, they should trade Poeltl and stay terrible for a year unless Barnes/IQ can carry them to a decent record.
I’ll go with keeping their pick and trying to make play-in because that’s more fun. If you’re top 3, that’s better obviously but I’ll stay out of that so either 4 or 6.. But any of the top projected prospects are good fits with Barnes/IQ (and it’s too early to not just select BPA) - Sarr sets them up to get whatever value for Poeltl they can and work with Sarr/Kelly/vet min rotation.. But sticking with Cody Williams..
I want another big forward and a point guard. Originally I was thinking Grant/Brogdon for Brown/Boucher/McDaniels/picks but..
Brown, Boucher, McDaniels, Sasha, 28th, 2025 Sac first, 2027 Sac first (both firsts say top 8 or top 10 protection for 2-3 years before turning into 2nds) to Portland
Brogdon, Barnes, 40th to Toronto
Grant and 31st to Sac
Portland saves money next season and future years while getting 2 firsts and moving up into the first round. Maybe they can flip Brown for something, maybe they keep him and flip Thybulle.
Sac gets a guy that seems like a good fit.
So.
Poeltl/Barnes/Barnes/RJ/IQ
Kelly/Dick/Brogdon
With the draft giving me Cody Williams and whatever BPA at 17th (maybe a center?)
And can use the MLE if you want..
It’s probably a terrible plan? But seems a good way to bring Cody Williams into the league and enough vets to help Barnes/IQ try and win some games without tying up long term money.

1) where does 28th come from?
2) what is the point of investing assets to just make the play in and likely not even get past it? Barnes and Brogdon is not the answer, especially given their age and the latter's expiring status.

Re: What should (what would you) do the RAPTORS this offseason?
They already traded O.G. and Siakam. They're rebuilding around Barnes. There isn't a whole lot to do besides draft well and hope for the best at this point. The only real questions before them is whether to bring back Brown and/or GTJ (assuming he doesn't want a change of scenery), or not and try to sell the cap space, and how high to go on IQ.

What should TOR do?
1-pray to the lotto gods that they keep their pick to reward the tank.
2-draft BPA
3-avoid overpaying role players
Same as everyone else in a similar position.

OP had Toronto having that pick. But I think that’s the pick Toronto traded for Ochai/Kelly. My bad.
But yeah, Toronto shouldn’t trade strong assets for vets.
They really should trade Poeltl and go as far as Barnes/IQ take them next season whether that’s good/bad. I just don’t think Toronto would A) tank or B) go in for a star before Barnes/OQ show they are capable of win anything.
So trading meh assets for decent vets to help the kids feels like the more realistic offseason to me. If the kids show they are ready, Toronto can push on for a better win now piece. If not, Toronto lost a scratch-off ticket.

Re: What should (what would you) do the RAPTORS this offseason?
They're rebuilding around Barnes - they should be wary of overpaying to keep any free agents - Quickly or Trent Jr. To me Barnes is the piece that matters - build around him. If you have a chance to draft or sign and point guard or center - don't worry about their fit with Quickley or with Poeltl, the only fit that matters is the fit with Barnes.
Draft:
I would try to add another lottery pick in this draft. They have picks 17, 31 and Indianas 2026 1st they could use to move up. I would target Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and New Orleans as teams to try to entice with a package of 17, 31, and the Indiana 2026 pick.
If successful I would target:
at 6:
Sheppard
Dillingham
Walter
Topic
in the 9-14 range if they can make a trade:
Knecht
Filipowski
Tyler Smith
Devin Carter
Free agency/trades:
I'd let Trent Jr walk (if you can sign and trade him for something do it - i just don't see a market)
I'd also sign and trade Quickley. Perhaps a more controversial stance, I'm just not sold on Quickley and as a RFA he'll probably be looking at a nice contract.
Quickley trade targets:
Orlando for pick 22 and Jonathan Isaac?
Nets for Cam Johnson?
Jazz for Secton and the 2025 Cleveland 1st
Spurs for Keldon Johnson and Toronto 2025 pick back
Let's say the do the Orlando trade and are able to nab Tyler Smith or Devin Carter there after drafting the other earlier
Free agency - don't think they have anything beyond the MLE to spend - with that I'd be looking at:
Tyus Jones
Miles Bridges
Jalen Smith (if he opts out)
2024-25 Raptors (new players in bold)
Tyus Jones/Devin Carter/Freeman Liberty
Reed Sheppard/RJ Barrett/Agbaji
Scottie Barnes/Bruce Brown/Dick
Jonathan Issac/Tyler Smith/McDaniels
Poeltl/Olynyk/Boucher
Additions:
Tyus jones - Free agency
Devin Carter - Draft
Reed Sheppard - Draft
Jonathan Isaac - trade
Tyler Smith - draft
This is a team that compliments and can grow with Barnes.

Why is Orlando trading Issac? They've had the guys for YEARS sitting on the bench and now that he finally pays off (as a potential DPOTY if healthy) then they move him?
I suppose you can say it's selling high, but they then have to pay IQ.....
No, Toronto already crossed that bridge. They're pot committed to an IQ/Scottie pairing. Now, maybe they can move RJ...but I'd just keep him. He's from Canada and will obviously have no problem staying there for the rest of his career.
To answer OP's question:
I'd look to draft players that fit IQ and Scottie. I think they have 1 in G-Dick. So theres a shooter to balance those two. I'd pray that I can land the French guy-Risacher as a shooter to spread things out even more.
Also, I trade Peotl for whatever I can get for him. That allows me more room to operate. They have another C behind him anyways. I let GTJ walk. They should've moved him at the deadline but it's too late for that now.
Lastly, I don't spend any money. I wanna see how the fit is with all of those guys and recess next summer as far as FAs go. Resign IQ and that's all the cash I'm spending.

Jonathan Isaac and a late pick isn't getting you Quickley. Quickley means more to Toronto than a injury prone SF/PF. Also why does Orlando need another guard? They have Black, Suggs, Fultz and Anthony. Cam Johnson is good but this means Barnes is going to the small forward position which isn't the best spot for him and this means you're paying RJ Barrett 20 million dollars to be your backup guard which is stupid. Sexton and Clevelands pick is too early to gamble that Mitchell is gone Cleveland is going to fall off and be a lotto team.
Only one that really makes sense is the Spurs but they look poised with their own pick to take Shepherd or Topic so why do they need Quickley?
If Toronto is in that 4-6 range their best bet is to hope, Buzelis is there he fits everything Toronto is trying to do another playmaker who can defend a lot of positions and has potential to be that third scoring option. If Toronto wins the draft it's obvious Sarr is a Raptor unless a team overpays to get that pick.
Realistically I think Toronto is bringing back Quickley to a 4/$110 million deal then using The Indiana pick this year plus Brown or Boucher to move up a bit maybe OKC wants Brown as backup wing? I think they kicked the tires with Gary Trent Jr and offer him somewhere around the MLE on a 2+1 (team option) deal if is Camp says no Then I think they let him go and look for his replacement with the Indiana pick if they keep IT.
