The roster being poorly built isn't a good thing. Nor should it be something any of us find acceptable.

Yes, the defense is usually very good (at least when Isaac plays) and that's nice, but the offense is terrible almost every night.

Its the Magic way. Good thing is.. i remember it only happens when we are good/winning record.

Remember D12 era where we have 55+ wins yet when we lose qe were ready to trade the entire roster and bringing up nicknames like BUMeer Nelson, Turkoflu, Ra$$$ard, wannabe-French Jordan etc etc
I always wanted to trade Hedo and Jameer.

It is. And his point is that we are so young and thus somewhat expected.

Right now, there is no one move that Paolo can go to and score with high probability besides some iso middies. He's still young so it's fine, but until that happens.. yeah. He can score well on switches against smaller guys but teams are aware of that and trying their best to stop it.

His touch is bad right now and he goes up too soft at the rim often.

Franz can only score on cuts and taking defenders off the dribble on isos as well and getting to the rack. Will not shoot any mid-range.

Both of these guys you feel okay leaving open from three.

That on top of having limited shooting and no real point guard, is just part of the bumpy road of the offense we've seen. Some games we maximize some of their strengths, but good teams will try to keep that at a minimum once they notice it working.

Maybe I'm just tired tonight but when was the last time we saw the JI/WCJ/Paolo/Franz/Suggs lineup? Feels like it's been a long while or if it hasn't been it was a very short stint when it last occurred.

I believe it was the Clippers game.

If there was a game where the players deserved to get ripped, this would be the game.

It sucks because I like Paolo and think he’s amazing at his age and skill set.

My main fear with drafting him was exactly this though… Orlando leaning far too heavily on him as an offensive hub and letting him do whatever he wanted regardless of how efficient he was.

He was never a guy that was going to run an offense at the point of attack and he shouldn’t be that guy. He needs to be rolling into the paint, drawing contact, and creating opportunities elsewhere.

We have to hope that the FO can get themselves a dynamic player like Murray or Mitchell this summer to relieve the pressure on Paolo and Franz. We need a tough shot maker.

Paolo is the tough shot maker. They don't need another one. He just needs some experience. Legit his 2nd year in the league.

The elbow and the low post. His touches HAVE to come on either side of the floor and not at the top. They have to figure that out already.

Let me also explain something. Just because you get him his touches in the low post that doesn't mean he scores from there.. it's so it's harder for every defender to watch him when he has the ball. The opposing team will then be forced to double him and that's when he picks them apart with his passing.

I've also noticed that when the team struggles to score the fans want to supplement scoring instead of just being patient and letting them learn. The team don't need a selfish chucking scorer.

Tough shot maker, from deep, is what I meant. You just need that in 2024. I have little doubt that Paolo would be much more efficient if he wasn't forced to play PG all the time and initiate the offense from the top of the key. I don't trust Paolo's 3 pointer right now.

I believe in his work ethic though and I think he will improve his jumper but he has a long way to go on that front.
