Clark choked but made up for it with the high iq inbound play, media is gonna eat that up tomorrow.

Re: March Madness Discussion and prospect watch
That’s a dumb call no doubt but they should’ve ran a better play to get bueckers the ball shame on them all they needed was to score and they win good grief

Conversely UCONN is in pretty bad foul trouble, already had their role players contribute scoring that will likely regress based on variance...and the game is still close.
You were spot on
mattg has watched a lot of basketball.

That call. At that time. Yikes.
And then what Clark did was very smart. But a very boring way to end a really good game.

This is the most I've ever given a **** about women's basketball, by far. CC really is a superstar outchea. I'm setting an alarm for the title game.

They’re gonna have a long hard discussion about that in the offseason also I don’t like half the ncaa rules it hurt the game in so many ways

Hopefully the Finals lives up to the hype. Clark was lucky to win this game.
I’ll be rooting against her personally
Damn I respect that.

with hundreds of games coached...sometimes you just have your finger on the pulse of the game and it plays out how you expect. I always liked those types of halves if I had to be trailing after the first though, my favorite type of halftime talk where you can talk about all the awful crap you're doing/not doing, and all the things going your opponent's way...and then the game just shifts with a couple of possessions very quickly and all of a sudden the game pressure really ramps up on your opponent.

South Carolina is undefeated and you’d hardly know they exist. Nothing against Clark but I’m rooting for the underdog (even tho they’re not the underdog)
Praying for Burrow

I’ve always wondered why it’s not done more often. Just drill it off someone’s back if you need 1 sec to tick off the clock.

That moving screen was bull **** though. C'mon. You dont decide a game like that. And I'm happy Iowa won.

I was going for Iowa but absolutely HORRIBLE offensive foul call. You let the players play it out.

One thing for sure the Nat'l media needs to end that GOAT conversation. This young lady is about to enter the best of the best in the WNBA. I would hate to see her get targeted every night. That GOAT tag comes with a lot of responsibility. She simply doesn't deserve that. For her sake I hope the hype dies down.

Re: March Madness Discussion and prospect watch
Well last game made me a fan, and this game made me forget about watching any female ball for a few more years
Refs had a clear agenda. Phamtom calls thats allowed Iowa to play with more physicality and get back into the game when they were clearly getting outplayed and Clark was shook.
It's moments like that that always make you side eye the refs, because who in that moment takes that moment from the fans and the players? You could call that foul on every single play of basketball, and you blow the whistle on a game winning shot attempt? The balls on that ref and the fans were robbed of what turned out to be a decent game. Could have been another instant classic but instead it was a bunch of scared girls just throwing the ball away for 3 minutes and a ref bail out call. I'm not even mad that UConn lost, I just hate seeing games end on nonbasketball plays.
Inferior product remains inferior

Does Clark have an in between game?
She gotta work on a floater and a mid range. Seems like 3 or all the way in.

Amazing to see that called after watching Kevin Garnett's whole career. Just amazing. One of the most benign screens ever.
