Caruso is better than all three.

I was just gonna name Caruso but you put it in a much better context. Granted I don’t know Avdija’s game very well but there’s no way his total impact matches Caruso’s defensive.

Caruso is very good. I don't really have a problem with him ranked above Avdija in terms of per-minute impact this season. Avdija is still on the upswing though. And Caruso has durability problems. Going forward, I'd definitely take Avdija.

Drazen didn't play only for 4 seasons, I do have enough perspective to know his European and NT career and what it meant to go to the NBA at 24 in the 80s for someone without a NCAA background.
He was a pioneer who had the guts to fight against prejudice and he was much more than a shooter, just coming from his background he had to become a specialist. The were calling him Mozart because of how of a genius he was on the court. If a guy like him came out now he'd be a top pick and given the keys of the team immediately.
He was one of the best 15 players player at the time and he would have had many All NBA selections.

Still, I think Manu was better than that and just as much of a mold breaker. One of the guys who probably influenced the most the current NBA.

In Manu’s best season, he had a BPM of 6.9 in the regular season and 9.2 in the postseason with impact numbers that greatly outpaced his box numbers. In Petrovic’s best season he had a BPM of 1.8 in the regular season and -8.8 in the postseason. Season 3 Manu is much closer to peak MJ than Petrovic was to him.
