Congrats NCSU on a nice season.

Congrats to the Boilermakers! First NC game since 1969.

College rules are also different. Paint is smaller. He's allowed to stand in the paint. Athletes are not elite, unlike in the NBA. He's too slow - hands, feet, everything. He'll be useless both on offense and on defense.

UConn vs Purdue will be a good game. Edey vs Clingan will be a key matchup to watch. Draft positioning will be determined after this game between those two.

Defenders should pressure Braden Smith a lot more, his handle is shaky asf

It's just an example of KYP. Know Your Personnel. Who you have dictates how you play.

Lol i meant was this what it was like in the 80s and 90s? Big behemoths lumbering down the court

The same applies. When Shaq played for LSU, they were an up and down team. So was Georgetown with Ewing. Those guys were also young elite athletes. Even North Carolina or Kansas with Eric Montross and Greg Ostertag, they scored 80+ a game.

He's extremely skilled but being nearly 300lbs adds to the effectiveness of his moves. Edey will be bigger, heavier and probably stronger so a lot of what he does will be negated by that, he's only 6'9" and those moves kill against a guy 6'10 or 6'11" that's 40-50lbs lighter than you, but against a 7'4" 300lbs guy it probably goes out the window.

I don't think Edey will be guarding him honestly. Burns is their pf. They have 2 taller more athletic centers who compliment Burns.

I have State in the upset simply because Burns also has DJ who is also been a star in the tournament. Edey is a 1 man show. State depth will win them this game imo.

Maybe he said Purdue because he for some reason bet on NC St. Or maybe because they beat AZ. Purdue just kills you from 3 being one of the best 3 pt shooting teams in the country (2nd in %) or scores easy baskets inside with Edey and Edey dominates averaging 28 and 15 in the tourney. They are far from boring.

But UConn's defense will make it tough, provided they get by Alabama because they are pretty good at limiting 3s. But they are more of a 2 pt shooting team, with the 4th highest 2pt fg% and also defending 2s (2nd best opp FG%).

If Purdue has a chance they will have to really have another great 3 pt shooting game on high volume. They have played well against really good teams all year though beating Tennessee and Gonzaga each twice, Alabama, Arizona and Marquette and then dominating the Big10. I had Houston beating them in this game, but Houston was to banged up to get there.

It is weird Virginia got crushed in the first four after finishing 3rd in the ACC, with the rest of the ACC doing so well in the tourney.

Interesting defensive strategy from Bama. Daring Castle to make 3s hasn't paid off but it's early.

I want the Hornets to draft Castle. Even if we get the #1 pick. He seems like the best player to put next to Melo/Miller. He has other skills he can rely on if his shot is not falling.

Reminds me of a more physical Anthony black.
