I mean, there's just nothing really to say. He's going to be an 8-9 out of 10 on defense and a 5 out of 10 on offense and be around the 15th best center in the NBA. He's four years away from being able to hang in the NBA too and his playstyle produces no highlights. There's nothing to discuss.
So there's no uncertainty at all about him? Completely known and defined skill set?
Why is that the case for him and not the other top picks?
Clingan's archetype is much more risky and allows for more arguing. Is he as mobile as Gobert or is he a step down?
Risacher's archetype is also extremely boring, but he's played badly for the last two months so people are more interested in talking about him.
Edey is basically Yao Ming teleported to the future and this is pretty interesting to talk about, players like that don't exist anymore.
Sheppard is a hyper productive 6'1" 3D player with limited athleticism, can that player succeed at all in the NBA?
Cody Williams also has gotten no talk, but that's because he's barely played this season.
Sarr is extremely mobile and has very good defensive technique so he'll probably be a very good defender once he gets to 245 to 250 pounds. Sarr's explosion isn't great and his skills are not good so he'll probably just be an OK rim protector and mediocre offensive player. He's just boring.
And he's depressing to talk about as the #1 pick. Nic Claxton is a guy who should be your 4th or 5th best player and taking your 4th or 5th best player first overall is really sad. The circumstances are also pretty bad for most teams. The Hornets, Pistons, and Jazz taking Sarr means they would be giving up on their young center (Hornets because Mark Williams' back is ****, Pistons because Duren has sucked, and Jazz because the coach's scheme doesn't fit Kessler at all) for a guy in Sarr with almost no star potential. That is also pretty depressing.
