Went over to the Bucks board for laughs. They are taking all this surprisingly calmly. There's even people saying losing to the bottom teams all the time is Doc's masterplan for turning this season around.

Josh Hart with the instep roundhouse kick to Javonte Green's head.
Not a lot of force on it, however -- even less than is typical for that technique.
Welcome (back) to the NBA, Mr. Green!

Re: Around the NBA (and other Sports), 2023-24, Part 2
The play-in tournament gave teams an imbalanced schedule. That may matter to seedings.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/why-nbas-in-season-tournament-is-suddenly-looming-large-over-one-of-the-closest-playoff-races-in-years/
Virtually every area of the standings was affected by these scheduling decisions in some significant way. Take the race for the No. 1 seed out West. Both the Nuggets and Thunder had to face the Houston Rockets in one of these games. Houston won both. The Nuggets drew an extra game against the Clippers (also a loss). The Thunder drew an extra game against the Warriors (a win). But the Timberwolves? They won games against the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies by 32 combined points. Those two teams have barely won more combined games this season (43) than Houston has alone (38) thus far this season.
The losing quarterfinalists were also hit hard here. The Knicks were rewarded for their group stage success with extra matchups against the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. They lost both. Right now, they are tied in the loss column for the No. 3 seed in the East with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Suns drew the Lakers and Kings as their prize for advancing. The Mavericks, whom they've been competing with to avoid the play-in, got the Trail Blazers and Jazz.

Embiid scares the crap out of me. He's the most skilled center of all time. He's like Kobe in a 7 footers body. Ridiculous.

Agree.
The difference between Jokic and Embiid is the Jays will have a hard time getting buckets in the paint when it's Embiid protecting the paint.
JT really doesn't score a lot inside the paint when it's against Embiid and the Sixers.

He's good, but scared? Joel Embiid has a record of 3-12 versus the Celtics in the playoffs in his career.
They replaced Harden (who won them 2 games single-handedly in the Boston series) with a bum Lowry and Buddy Hield. Tobias Harris looks AWFUL. It's likely that the Sixers will crumble in the playoffs worse than last year.

It would be interesting to see who sits if the Cs go double big against the Sixers.
Jrue or White would have to take turns sitting if Al is to guard Embiid for long stretches.

Here's what everyone's record would look like if all teams played 50% of games vs East and 50% vs West. (Instead of 4 games vs teams in your conference and only 2 games vs teams in the other conference.)
Celtics still dominating. But after that there are 8 West teams ahead of the next best East team.

Hard to say. Even if one of them ends up in 8th at the end of the RS, they still have to do the play-in thing.
7 plays 8 and the winner of that becomes the #7 seed. Then the loser of that game plays the winner of 9 vs 10, and the winner of that becomes the 8 seed. So to become the 8 seed you have to lose your first play-in game and win your 2nd play-in game. We really won't know until it happens.

I get that but im thinking the loser of 7/8 game has an advantage over Bulls/Atl and Phi over Mia/Indy. Just my anticipation that the loser of Indy/Mia likely plays Philly

Bucks may actually fall out of the second seed if they can’t get out of this tailspin

What the hell is going on with the Bucks?
Cs not facing the Bucks in the playoffs if they're really in shambles right now.

Dame and Beasley can’t defend anyone, and Brook Lopez has aged 10 years in the last two seasons.

Are the Bucks that bad?
Dame looks disinterested.
Or are the Knicks better than I thought?
