Sucks that when we got bases loaded we don't have a home run threat like that.

Stanton is awful these days but it is a fair point.

Good thing our #5 hitter stares at a called strike with the bases loaded while theirs hits a grand slam.

Game over, this team can’t score 4 runs

He had a 87 OPS+ last year he's pretty bad but he does still pull the ball when he makes contact unlike anyone on this team.

We do. He just happens to be on the bench most of the time.
Our other threat is Vlad, though granted he's more of a double-play threat than HR threat these days...

I hate to say it, but this is a team that looks like it will struggle to stay above .500 this year. It's been a brutal opening schedule, and I'm sure they'll beat up on some weaker teams, but they're unlikely to hang with the better clubs.

Dude was suffering from major injuries all of last season. He could barely move his lower body it was so bad. Even now his swing is just all arms. That being said, id take him over anyone in our lineup save Bo and Vlad. He might not have a spring in his step anymore but can easily mash 30 HRs a season.

Stanton is always injured that's kinda been his thing lol he also has a ridiculous contract.

They’ll win 85-90 games, I’m sure, which is apparently exactly what the FO wanted because they made no real attempt to improve that total.

The pitch calling just made zero sense. Like you throw a 3-2 curveball outside to Rizzo to walk him. But then to Stanton you throw an inside fastball at 2-2? Like why? At least throw another junk pitch and go for the strikeout or ball 3.

I wouldn’t want anything to do with anything involving Stanton at this point in his career. Would expect Yankees will end up DFA’ing him before the contract is up.

So many free outs in the bottom of the lineup. Didn't even challenge Gill.

He was making mistakes all game and missing location on everything. It all seemed fairly inevitable to me.
Yariel may end up taking his spot before too long.

When a pitcher throws middle middle on a 0-2 count, what does that say about the batter?
